Sew Sunny Homestyle Paperback – July 31, 2009

Becoming obsessed with the Tone Finnanger "Tilda" books, so had to order this one. Even though she has been publishing Tilda books for years, they don't feel dated. Full of the charming and unique ideas, projects and inspiration I've come to expect from her books. So many things to make for your home and family, along with wonderful gifty items. Most of the sewing projects are for the experienced, though not all. Highly recommend reading the "Techniques" section carefully and more than once, along with any instructions for similar projects, since some of the instructions for some can apply to others, but may not necessarily be included. When we got stuck on anything, we luckily found helpful tutorials on YouTube. Some of the most helpful were in a foreign language, but since we wanted to see how a particular step was executed, the visual was much more important than the spoken instruction/narration. This is one of the bigger books, so lots of projects to keep you busy for a good while.

I choosed this product becouse of the simplicity of the instruction, the beauty of the result and for having a good time making some of the ideas we can find in it.I prefer this book since I discover the author, Tone Finnanger, becouse at list I could find how to make simple and pretty proyects in a short time.

Well, She sure took this book up a notch!! And her other books are Lovely too! The photos are beautiful, very inspiring! Just what I needed-a fresh outlook. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this New book and I must say--it was well worth the wait! It doesn't disappoint! It's also a little thicker than the others.This book consist of items and projects both for the beginner and more advanced crafter also.Delightful to the eyes! Sweet for the imagination! A total joy to own!You will really enjoy this book! I am at this very moment! Just Wonderful!

Another great book from Tone. She's a wonderful designer and these sweet handmade touches can soften any home. Sometimes I buy her books just for inspiration and for the photography. This one is not disappointing at all-- I love her style. These things can make any room a happy place.

I absolutely love this book. This book has a little something for everyone in your life. It's full of fun, creative and beautiful things to enjoy. The instructions are easy to follow and the photography is down right beautiful. Dont judge the book by its cover there are a ton of great projects within that should have been featured.

Tone’s old books are very inspiring, touchingly and simple.Get it if you have a chance to !

Tone has done another very visually appealing book. She represents the quintessential Scandinavian style in a way that is hard to rival. This is now her 5th. book and they got better with every book she published.I am giving it only 3 stars, because after 4 previous books there is nothing new -she is still doing the same projects over and over again- with a bit of a new twist. But I claim to have enough imagination to change her ideas a little to make them new and my own. Every book has dolls, and they essentially are the same in their pattern just with different dresses. One book has a flying pig, the next a flying cow and so on. Her stuffed animals also are done in the same style. In one book her birds hang on the Christmas tree, in the new book she put them on a stick... I did some research and it seems she does entire stationary collections that match her own fabric collections that are available for sale in Europe. That's why in her Sew Pretty Christmas Style book she uses the same fabric as in Sew Pretty Home Style, just in red on white instead of white on red. These are a few examples. She more or less advertises her own products in her last three books. In a very beautiful way.If you do not own any of her books yet you should buy this book. If you already own her other books my advise would be to order it in the store to be able to look at the projects first and make up your mind if you need it for the projects offered. I was looking for new ideas and was disappointed not to find them in this book.I hope my review will help.

Arrivato fortemente in ritardo per colpa delle poste. Mi chiedo perché affidarsi ancora alle poste...comunque.progetti molto carini e interessanti ma la scelta della stampa delle foto non mi piace assolutamente. Opaca e sfumata. Più che una lettura da relax è stato uno sforzo per la vista. Lo consiglio solo per i progetti.

Es un libro muy gordito y con muchos proyectos. algunos sencillos que se pueden hacer con niñas y enseñarles a apreciar la costuraMe encanta la diseñadora Tone Finnanger.

Wer Tilda kennt, weiß wie schön ihre Nähprojekte sind, genau so auch in diesem Buch.Das Buch ist in englisch aber dennoch gut verständlich geschrieben. Hier ist von der Vogelscheuche über Sitzhocker bis zum Strandlaken alles was das Herz begehrt dabei.Da ich noch nicht so viele Tilda Bücher besitze, ist dieses eine echte Bereicherung in meiner kleinen Sammlung. Das Buch ist in DIN A 4 im Taschenbuch - Einband! Es ist nicht das selbe Buch wie " Tildas Haus" in der deutschen Version. Also nicht miteinander vergleichbar! Sie unterscheiden sich völlig vom Inhalt! ( Hasen, Vögel, Häuser, Schnecke, Seestern, Taschen, Torten, Puppen, Vogelscheuche und vieles mehr sind dort beschrieben und mit Schnittmuster.) Alles in allem ein sehr schönes und gelungenes Buch, ... Meiner Meinung nach

I LOVE IT! One of the best books yet with loads of lovely projects for the home. I will definitely make most of these. The angels are lovely especially the bathing angels. As usual another excellent book. Can't wait to see what comes next!!! I made one of the little birdhouses as soon as I recieved the book and just love it. I know my sisters will want some as soon as they see it. Some brilliant gift ideas. I plan to make the beach houses next , but fill them with lentils to use as a doorstop in the garden room!
