Smoked Oaxacan Sea Salt
Absolutely love this salt. The smokiness of it coupled with an ocean brininess makes this a great salt to eat straight alongside your favorite maguey spirit (whether that be tequila or mezcal). We also use it for all types of cooking applications outside of Oaxacan cuisine, including putting it in our pasta water for cacio e pepe. Yes, it has roasted agave worms in it… but they have so much umami flavor to contribute, so don’t think of them being like the soggy worm in the bottom of some tequila/mezcal bottles in the 1980s (think Poltergeist 2). This brand is one of the better ones I’ve had so give it a try if you haven’t.

Good Stuff But Watch The Shaker
I seen this salt on a youtube channel that I follow and though I need to try that so got me some. It is definitely salty. I highly recommend using it sparingly. The other thing I highly recommend it taking out the shaker top. While using it the shaker came out of the bottle spilling over half the bottle on the table. Luckily I was able to save it but I just threw the shaker top away. Has a smokey flavor but is very salty. Recommend using it with your favorite Mezcal and orange slices.
