Directv Dtv 10 Pin to Composite for C31 Only, Model: 10PINCOMPOS, Electronic Store

Just signed up for Directv service in December 2016. Found that the new receivers do not have outputs for hooking up "component" or "composite" devices. And the receiver product manual didn't tell you how to do this if at all possible. Found out in a Directv forum that there was a 10-pin accessory hookup on the receiver that will allow you to use a special cable that outputs "composite" or "component" depending on the cable - I bought the composite version. Once I got this cable, I was able to connect the composite connectors to a RF modulator, and then using an old coax cable running to my garage 200 feet away, I now see on the garage TV whatever is playing in my living room. Now I can work in the garage and watch sports on my garage TV without paying Directv additional money for another receiver I don't need. I don't need a high quality picture in the garage, and this is perfect using old RG6 cable I didn't need anymore that was already there.

I just had DirecTV installed and they provided me with the upgraded Genie Receiver HR-54. I was disappointed to find out that this unit did not have the usual Yellow, Red, White, (Video and Stereo Audio) output jacks. Those jacks had been replaced with a 10 pin Composite output, along with the now dominant HDMI output.Using the HDMI for my HD Television, I needed to be able to view (the same channel) in another room. The packaging on the outside of the adapter cable bag is labeled: "DirecTV 10 Pin to Composite for C31 Only."So, by using this cable connection from the DirecTV receiver to a DYNEX mixer Yellow, Red, White input jacks; then from the RF output, of the mixer (F-coax connector) to the RF input of the TV, in the next room. Problem solved.The main reason that I am writing this review is inform everyone that this cable will work with the Genie H54 also.

Works perfect for my directv genie. I had to buy this a second time because all 3 cords are molded together up top so each one only has about 6 inches of play and I need the video to my old school projector (no hdmi) and the sound to my receiver. So when I was trying to slice down the middle of the molded piece to separate the wires I accidentally cut the whole wire off. Second time around I was able to successfully separate the wires and it works perfect. I just wish they wouldn't mold all 3 together in case you need to run video one place and audio another. Overall it works and for 4$ and free shipping I will not complain a bit.

The title says it only works with the C31 Genie. However, I have the newer C51 genie from DirecTV and it works perfectly to connect my Genie to a tv tuner card in my PC.Side note: I also have my Genie connected directly to my monitor via HDMI for when I'm doing heavy work (animation and 3D rendering) on my computer and don't want to burden my system. I can easily switch the monitor to HDMI 2 to watch TV while my PC hammers out its tasks. The issue that I've noticed is that when using this cable to watch tv while I work on my PC, I have to disconnect the HDMI cable. It has something to do with the copy protection of the DirecTV programming and in no way has any bearing on the cable itself.

Despite the description, this cable also works fine with the Directv H25-700 HD boxes. I am currently using it to double up the composite outputs rather than use a splitter. The H25 has no problem running the composite on the back of the box and the extra supplied by this cable simultaneously. I know it's only composite on an HD box but they are kid's small bedroom TV's and they couldn't care less about picture quality. An added bonus is not having to fight the HDMI HDCP channel not available warnings anymore.

My wife's 90 year old aunt is mostly deaf and needs headphones to hear the tv. This connector helped get her headphones hooked up to her system.

After getting my DIRECTV C41 Genie Client with RF Remote for my bedroom, I wanted to send the video out to an old TV I used for watching the games in my garage. I have the HDMI cable feeding my flat screen and out of the DTV 10 pin video out, I have going into a Video/RF output device and the old RF cable goes through the wall and into my old set out in the garage. the Video/RF output device is something I already had but this cable was required to get the video input to that unit from the new genie. works great. thank you!!!

Prior to the install of my DirecTV, I was unsure if I could attach the Genie to my older televisions. I looked at many HDMI converters and was concerned that I would need to do something complicated or expensive.This 'DirecTV DTV 10 pin to Composite' cable is an affordable and easy solution. I'm able to run both HDMI and Composite output from the C31 without any compromise in video quality. Sweet!There is also a component (red, green, blue RCA connectors for video) version of this wire available (additional purchase) if I decide to change my configuration and use the C31 for my old projection TV.These are great solutions.
