Dem Bones (Bob Barner)

It was perfect for Halloween to go with the skeleton bones pajama set I gave my grandson. Now (with the aid of the book) I can sing the song and my grandson and I have learned a thing or two about anatomy... Enjoy!

This book from the front page to the last,captured us and I enjoyed reading it and learning. My 6 year old loves it and so do I. The illustrations and all were spot on. The book is thick and WONDERFUL QUALITY... super easy read and educational. Don't doubt it buy it...

A PERFECT book. Excellent illustrations. Print is appropriate. Contains a fun song with a glossary with important vocabulary. Purchased several copies of this book over the years.

What a fun book! My 5 year old son loves this. I buy him a new book relating to a holiday every year for each holidary- this was his Halloween book this year. It is great quality and fun to read. My dad, his grandpa, does the best job reading it- it is so fun to use different voices for it. We also have the Scholastic dvd to go along with it, which is great and really complimentary- it gives it a New Orleans' bluesy feel. The book also teaches parts of the skeleton and functions well! It is a great book, and I highly recommend this!

I purchased this book originally for my kids to use during Halloween, but found that it can be used throughout the year. It's great for learning body parts and sung to a Negro spiritual tune.

My daughter loves skeletons due to loving Dia De Los Muertos ever since she was months old. She is also leaning body parts in English, and high she doesn't feel comfortable with. Being that I use loved reading tus book years ago as I would read it to ore k children who loved it as well I decided to buy for my 2 yr old . She loves it so much she has me read it 3-5 times In a row. We I Ku read the song lyrics which we read. I first read it In Spanish (translated by me) and then read or sing in English. A child can grow with this book as there are side readings with more details and even a bone chart at the end of the book. I could see a child still reading it up till 5th or 6th grade (about 12 years old).
