Works great for my old pipes. I use it once a month to keep them clear. This works much better than Drano or Liquid Plumber on hair clogging problems.

it really did the job every time. the thing's you need to do it once a moth to keep the pipes clean, dont wait till get clogged.

I live in Santa Fe, NM. The water has alot of minerals and iron. This is the best product for keeping your toilets looking good. The powder works better than the disks. I just pour some of the powder in the toilet and let it do it's thing. If you have major iron rings, pour the powder directly on the stains (needs to be wet) and they are gone in seconds. I wear a mask if you are going to be hanging around doing any cleaning after you pour the powder into water. There is no odor, but the chemical reaction is intense and probably not good to be breathing in. Highly recommend this product.

I never right reviews, but this stuff is awesome. Had a stubborn bathroom sink which sometimes would come to a complete stop. Put my shop vac on reverse to blow out the line and was able to get a little movement. Dropped some of this stuff down the line, gave it 10 minutes, put my shop vac on it and cleared it right out. Tried an entire bottle of Drano before this. It did nothing. This stuff really works. Just be careful. When you turn the hot water on to dissolve it, there is quite a violent reaction. Turned my sink into a volcano and almost hit me in the face.

I gave it 1 star for “scent” because you don’t want to smell it! It’s caustic and will burn your throat and nose if you inhale it. My plumber recommended this to me years ago and it has been great. Use it as directed and do not inhale the dry dust when filling the dispenser container or the reaction “fog” when adding the hot water. I wear an N95 mask or make sure I move out of the nearby area quickly. It will kind of “boil” up so funnel should be oversized to contain product and the hot water if you use it for a washing machine drain. Same price as at the plumbing supply store and delivery to my door. Can’t beat that! Just use safely and it’ll keep the drains flowing.

Only thing we know of to use for older clogged drains that won't mess up our septic system. It has a very strong odor. Pour it and back way up or it will burn your nose and eyes. It also is only activated by hot water so you have to get the water hot before you start to use. It seems to help some but I'm not sold it is doing all that much. It also leaves traces of the granular stuff in your sink and on your plate in bottom of sink. I always make sure to scrub it off so it doesn't hurt the finish.
