A pretty good set of speakers but high treble
I bought these for a gift for my dad. And they seem to be very good, except for the fact that their treble is naturally very high. Even with the treble turned all the way down on its control, it does only then it become more normal sounding. Other than that, the volume connectivity options and quality seemed to be very good. They're good, big speakers. That look nice on your desk and really produce some good clarity in audio. I believe that I bought them while they were on a sale and the price was very acceptable to me. They're hardwired on his desk and so they were pretty much plug and play for me. I don't use the Bluetooth functionality on them.

Great Product!
I was not sure what I was getting. When they arrived and I set them up (easy to do), they sound great! They have volume, bass, and treble controls. Great speakers for the price.

Sanyun SW208 3" speakers!! :)
Good bass quality, it's been nice to have a quality pair of desk speakers again so I can avoid my headset when I don't feel up to wearing my headset! :D Cables are easy and quick to setup! Multiple ways to power the device up as well if you lack one way of doing so!! <3

volume knob doesn't work, inadequate documentation, USB mode is extremely flaky
These are total bargain-bin speakers, poorly engineered, with design defects and no useful documentation. The biggest engineering bug is that the volume knob doesn't work when you use it with USB. This problem is no documented anywhere on the Amazon page. It does seem to be discussed in the printed booklet that comes with the speakers, but the English is so bad that it's hard to tell what they intended to say: "Note: When using Bluetooth mode and USB cable connection mode, the speaker volume may share the same volume with the device, so the main volume knob is not set with the highest and lowest volume scales." If you can understand that sentence, then good for you. I'm guessing it came straight out of Google Translate. The speakers can be used in three modes, but the printed booklet that comes with the speakers doesn't mention how to set the the mode. For this information, you need to carefully look through the Amazon page, where they have this note: "Long press 2 seconds to change the mode, green is audio mode, red is USB connection mode, blue is Bluetooth mode. " I assume "audio mode" is intended to mean using it with a phono jack. "Long press" refers to pressing and holding the volume knob for a couple of second. This is really bad engineering. For usability, all they needed to do was make the thing detect when it's connected to USB. (Hey, it's not that hard for a USB device to detect that!) As it is, you get the thing out of the box and plug it in through the USB cable, and you have absolutely no idea why it isn't working. The micro-USB cable they supply does not mate nicely with the port on the back of the speaker. It's hard to tell whether you're pushing it in hard enough or not. Low-quality parts, cheap engineering. One speaker has all the connectors sticking out of the back. The power cable sticks out about 6 cm. This is awkward when you're trying to fit the speaker into a confined space, e.g., it wouldn't fit on my windowsill. So if you're buying these because they look compact, keep this in mind. The only good things I will say about these speakers are that they do have pretty decent bass response, and they were certainly cheap. [EDIT] I spent an afternoon doing some coding while playing sound through the speakers, and I experienced even more problems. The biggest hassle is that the USB input worked fine for a few hours and then abruptly stopped working in the middle of playing something. I tried power cycling the speakers, but that didn't help. I had to shut down my computer and reboot to get the speakers working again, but then the USB input stopped working again after a couple of minutes. As a last resort, I plugged the speakers in via the analog phono-plug cable (which luckily I'd saved). This fixed it, but it eliminated one of my main reasons for having bought this particular model of speakers, which was that I wanted something with USB input. A second thing I noticed is that the broken behavior of the volume knob is not even consistent. What I originally observed was that the knob seemed to have no effect when I was in USB mode, and I assumed that this was what was being documented in the tortured English of the documentation, as quoted above. But I later noticed that turning the knob while in USB could actually have three different effects: (1) sometimes it has no effect; (2) sometimes it works; (3) sometimes it deactivates the speakers and the only way to recover is by power cycling. So basically it looks like whoever made the USB interface was just totally incompetent and/or didn't do any testing. The USB interface is just completely unusable my experience. A final issue is that when I was in USB mode, I found that for some material (e.g., the PBS News Hour's streaming programs on their web site), the sound output was extremely low -- e.g., too low to be easily audible when there was background noise such as a fan. This seemingly can't be fixed in software, because even when I max out my operating system's volume control, I just can't get a level through the USB interface that is loud enough. Of course, if the volume knob worked while in USB mode, then you would have a way to convince the speakers to give some more gain -- but as described above, that's a disaster.

Sound Quality and Ease of use.
Been using them since march, and they were easy to set up, sound quality is great far better than what i expected and they function very well. I recommend them if your planning on using them for day to day use for a PC set up but if your planning on placing them far from each other id also invest in a good RCA extension audio cable male to female so you have more options in terms on how and where you want to place them like i did. The Bluetooth is also very good and for gaming, music and in general movie or video watching they don't fail and connect with little to no issues.

The quest for the perfect desktop speakers for my Mac Mini M1 felt like searching for the Holy Grail - countless video reviews, a graveyard of rejected options... But then, enter the Sanyun SW-206 Dual Model Bookshelf Speakers, and let me tell you, they were a revelation. Before we crank the volume to 11, let's talk about the essential qualities every PC speaker needs (because let's face it, bad speakers are speakers you'll be living with, not living for). Here's my personal symphony of must-haves: - Crystal Clear Symphony: Rich, detailed sound that takes you from the front row of a concert to the heart of a movie scene. (We can all agree, muddy audio is a major buzzkill.) - The Treble and Bass Duet: The ability to fine-tune the sound to your taste, whether you're a bass enthusiast or a treble traditionalist. - The Silent Stage: Speakers that disappear when there's no audio, no unwanted hiss or hum to disrupt your listening bliss. - Power Without Distortion: Crank it up without the sound turning into a distorted mess. Loudness shouldn't sacrifice clarity. - Connectivity Chorus: Multiple inputs are a lifesaver, allowing you to connect all your devices and keep the music flowing. - Stereo Harmony: A balanced soundscape where instruments and vocals are perfectly placed, not favouring one side over the other. The Sanyun SW-206 became my maestro for all these reasons. I threw everything at them: Apple Music's lossless library, Spotify's highest quality streams, podcasts with music and spoken word, movies, YouTube, even my personal collection of lossless audio files. For a month, these speakers haven't missed a beat. They're perfect for the value-conscious audiophile (like myself!) who craves top-notch sound without breaking the bank. I can finally hear the subtle nuances in those high-quality podcasts with spoken word and background music – a symphony for the ears! The sound quality? Superb. Speaker quietness? Excellent, no unwanted noise when the music stops. Power? They pack a punch and get loud without distortion. Bonus feature? The convenience of a remote control to adjust volume and other settings from the comfort of your chair. Let's not forget the eye candy! These speakers boast a sleek, modern design that complements any desk setup. The clean white box design with a pop of yellow inside the speakers adds a touch of modernity you can show off. Matching the impressive sound is the build quality. The speakers have a reassuring weight, feeling sturdy and well-made. They also sit firmly on the desk with no vibrations, ensuring a clean listening experience. The verdict? If you're a content creator, a music enthusiast, or simply want to elevate your desktop experience, these speakers deserve a standing ovation. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. P.S. For the purpose of this review, I utilised a high quality AUX cable to ensure optimal audio performance.

These speakers are an excellent value option. I liked them so much that I’ve bought them twice—one set for our record player and another for a portable projector. Pros: Versatile Connectivity: Easily connects via Bluetooth, with multiple corded adaptor options for added flexibility. User-Friendly: Simple and intuitive controls make these speakers easy to operate. Decent Sound Quality: The audio is clear and well-balanced, making it great for casual use. Cons: Cord Length: Both the power cord and the cord connecting the secondary speaker are a bit short, limiting placement options. No Remote: A remote would have been a convenient addition. Volume Output: While the speakers are sufficiently loud for use with a computer, they fall slightly short for setups where more powerful sound is needed—such as when paired with our record player in another room. Overall: These speakers offer great value for the price. Despite a few minor drawbacks, they’ve been reliable and versatile, with no issues so far. They’re a fantastic choice for anyone looking for affordable, functional, and compact speakers.
