Excellent for an older laptop and is a good low priced upgrade
Still exploring everything included in the disk that goes on and on well beyond what I ordered! Many useful programs. On my older laptop I had to install and older version of Office that was included in this, first and then upgrade with a newer version, also included. The instructions were easy to follow and worked great! And if I need the disk for any future uses, it will permanently be available to access and download. Great price! Good seller.

For me just as good as MS Office!
Works fine with my previously saved Officers files. Seems like just as good software package as MS Office without the exorbitant monthly license. Unless you absolutely need the latest MS Office software, you should be happy with this product.

Decent Product; GREAT customer service!
Because I was tired of Microsoft Office's high price and replace-your-computer-and-you-have-to-buy-it-again policy, I wanted to find a good-quality replacement that wouldn't cost so much. The reviews for LibreOffice were encouraging enough (and the price low enough) that I decided to give it a try. After more than two weeks, I got an e-mail from the business, asking how I liked their product. I responded that it hadn't arrived, and that I feared it lost in the mail. The next morning, I received an e-mail that allowed me to download the product immediately, and they promised to send another disk. I did download the product, since I needed it pretty badly. (The new disk hasn't arrived after a week, but I believe it's coming from overseas, so I'm not concerned.) The program does function very well. It reminds me somewhat of the old Microsoft Word, before they added all those scroll-down menus. I've only been using LibreOffice for a few days, but I've been fairly satisfied with it. Only two criticisms so far: 1. When I opened my .docx files (Word 2014), LibreOffice often put in some kind of weird tab or page break that I could not delete or identify. The only way I could get rid of it was to press Delete at the end of the paragraph before the break (which would bring one, and only one, paragraph back before the break), then press Enter to put the New Paragraph format back in. I had to do this repeatedly until the paragraphs reached the bottom of the page; then the false page break would be gone and the paragraphs would run sequentially. I found a better solution in Microsoft Word on my old computer: I saved each file I was moving (only about 20) to .odt format, the format LibreOffice uses, and that fixed the problem. But that's not a very practical solution in the long run, so I hope the owner of LibreOffice will get that bug fixed. 2. A much more picky detail... When I started using it, LibreOffice's screen display of Times New Roman was badly kerned. (I have a high-def screen.) It looked OK on the printed page. Some of the extra fonts I had added to LibreOffice displayed beautifully, so I tried copying the Times New Roman .ttf files from my old computer to the new one. Yup, that fixed it. I'm not sure if the original Times font came from LibreOffice or not, but if so, I'd say their Times font needs updating. I specifically bought LibreOffice for the word processing program, so I haven't used the others yet, and can't comment on them. But overall, I am satisfied with the program, and I would recommend it to others as an alternative to OpenOffice or Microsoft Word. (amended 8/15/18: Replacement disk arrived today, seems fine.)

Works with Visio Files!
When my ancient PC finally expired (running Windows Me through DIN plugs) I needed access to my large collection of Visio Drawings and Documentation. I bought a a Windows 10 Machine (refurbished) in the hopes of installing my old Visio Software on it. That proved to be impossible so I ordered a later version of Visio only to find that I could open files (as Administrator) but not save or change them, Bummer! Then I purchased Lebre Office and tried their "Draw" program. I was able to access my old Visio Files and Edit and Save them! It does however do a few things differently and has lost a bit it the intuitive feel that was a hallmark of the early Visio Program. For that reason I withheld one of the stars. For example: Adding text is handled differently. There are no included Electrical templets. Work is saved in a different file format. Needless to say there will be a bit of a learning curve however access to my documentation files had been restored! On the positive side is the fact that you can install this on a PC that is not connected to a Network or the Internet! This is a real plus since computers that aren't connected tend to live a long and happy life without constant updates and notifications that they are out of date, they just soldier on and work! I do miss Windows Me since there are times when this newer Windows seems quite slow. An Update - Had to remove one of the stars due to the problems encountered with making a Drawing. I could find no way to incorporate previous templates for Electrical and Electronic Drafting. So I attempted to draw some simple components to save. This proved to be problematic since there was a Snap Grid being employed and I could find no way to turn it off. The result was that I was unable to place line segments where I wanted to and therefore could not connect them! Bottom line, Reading Visio Drawings A+ making drawings D-.

Libre Office Disc
Very well satisfied with the office CD. Good office program disc for the price. Has all the features that I need. Recommend this to anyone needing an office program installed on a computer. Compatible with Microsoft.

TERRIBLE!
Absolutely terrible. Crashes all over the place. Supposedly a replacement for Microsoft Office, but shouldn't even appear in the same sentence with the word "Microsoft". Can't export in anything except PDF file if you or reader doesn't have Microsoft Word. So-called Powerpoint replacement crashes multiple times if put more than one pic of slide. Don't buy; waste of money.

WHAT A WONDERFUL SOLUTION TO MICROSOFT WORD, EXCEL AND POWERPOINT!
The annual costs for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are ridiculously expensive now. Until recently, I was using a 2013 Imac with my originally installed Student edition of Microsoft. When I bought a mid 2017 new Imac everything changed. Microsoft gave me no choice but to buy an annual contract for their software. LibreOffice 2019 Home Student Professional & Business software is the solution of my dreams! I read the reviews, which were very positive. The cost for this software (available for free online) is a mere fraction compared to Microsoft, but just as capable a program. I was amazed how easy it was to install in Applications with my Imac. All the popular fonts were there and it was simple to open up my Word documents, read them and save them for later. I can share this software with my husband when he will need to escape from Microsoft Word! I truly appreciate LibreOffice and The Document Foundation for designing sustainable software!

Great substitute for MS office
Excellent program, I needed an office program to keep my banking transactions on but Microsoft office was way beyond my budget. I also had other documents that needed saving as well. after long periods of searching for the right program I ran across LibreOffice that had a totally free version. I down loaded the free version and after using it for a short period of time I realized that it had almost the same features as MS office. I looked no further. I was hooked. When I seen this program on Amazon on disc I decided to purchase it even though I was still using and satisfied with the free A few weeks later while working with program I accidently did something that caused the program to crash, All my work was lost (so I thought). I reloaded the program from the disc and to my surprise when it was up and running again so were my documents. I had not saved my work before I messed up and when I loaded program from the disc it recovered all my documents to point I was at when it crashed. If and when a newer version comes out on disc I will be purchasing it. As a long term user of LibreOffice I can assure you, you will not be disappointed . Try it for free ,if not happy you are out nothing, But if you are happy with program I recommend buying disc for backup.
