Yes, this leaves a white cast - that's what mineral sunscreens do! If you don't like it, don't use a mineral sunscreen. This is way cheaper than the Cetaphil mineral sunscreen specifically for face, but I don't notice a difference. If you dot small amounts over your face and blend with a sponge, it can minimize the white cast and make it easier to blend. Looks great under makeup, non-greasy, and moisturizing enough that I don't have to layer it on top of a full moisturizer, just my usual morning serum. Highly recommend! Also packs pretty easily into a medium sized purse or beach bag so you can reapply as needed on the go. No pilling under makeup, neutral scent, I love it! Will be buying again when I run out - which might take a while since you get so much for your money!

Okay so I need to start by saying I’m a WOC and I’m like milk Chocolate brown. Yes, this leaves a white cast but I wear this everyday as my daily face sunscreen and I’ve avoided the “white face” by a very easy little step. LESS IS MORE! I think every one who is using this and complaining about a white cast is using the amount you would use for normal chemically sunscreen. I literally use a pea size maybe smaller and rub it into my hands and then pat my face, ears and neck( front and back). That tiny amount is enough to cover me comfortably and not leave my upper body with “white face”. So all the reviews especially other POC or anyone with darker skin, USE LESS PRODUCT! You’ll thank me! Also, if it’s not obvious you have to really rub this in, I use my hands but I’ve seen people use a makeup brush or a beauty blender sponge.

I’ve been using this sunscreen for a couple of weeks and overall I’m happy with it. The texture is lightweight, not greasy, and it blends fairly well compared to a lot of other mineral sunscreens I’ve tried. I have sensitive skin and this one doesn’t sting or cause any irritation, which is a big plus. That said, it does leave a slight white cast, especially if I apply a bit more on my face, so it may be more noticeable on medium to darker skin tones. It also takes a minute or two to rub in completely. Still, the protection feels solid, and I like that it’s fragrance-free and dermatologist recommended. Overall, a very good everyday sunscreen if you don’t mind a little extra blending.

The sunscreen itself is fine and works well, but I was disappointed to receive a tube that expires in June 2026. I bought it on March 5 and received on March 12, 2026, so it had less than 3 months of shelf life. This is not enough time to use it safely, especially for a child. I hope the seller improves inventory management so customers don’t get near-expiration products.

I'm a pasty white guy married to a Panamanian woman. I spend at least 4 weeks out of the year in Panama, where the sun is intense year-round and the most fun to be had outside the city is the beach or hiking. Mineral sunscreen holds up so much better than your typical chemical avenbezone or whatever. I need to reapply it less often and at similar SPF ratings I see much better performance from mineral options. I find both Cetaphil and Blue Lizard to work extremely well for price, especially for the face (comparing to something like ISDIN or La Roche-Posay, which do a good job but cost 3 times as much). If you're headed to the Caribbean or have a history of melanoma in your family, you really can't go wrong with a mineral option and Cetaphil makes a solid product.

It's very well rated in terms of ingredients but it leaves a very heavy white cast after applying. It feels very thick and it's also hard to wash off. If you're wearing for sports it might be good but not greay for every day wear.

Debido a que fui de vacaciones a una playa donde recomiendan el uso de un bloqueador mineral, lo compré, considero que tiene una buena protección y una fijación duradera, se queda en la ropa, pero se quita al lavarla, dura bastante en la piel, sin embargo, a considerar que debido a los ingredientes, la piel te queda blanca durante su uso por el tipo de bloqueador.

I find the cream needs a little effort to apply if you have dry skin because you may have to drag (not a lot) to even out the product on your face. I find that the application is smoother when you layer your face with moisturiser first. I know some do not like the white cast but I love it. I like the cast so that I know which are the areas that I may have missed out.

I was so excited to try this but I ended up being disappointed. :( It leaves the WORST white cast. I applied it all over my face and chest and I looked like Dracula. :D At first I thought maybe if I leave it a few minutes the white / paleness will go away but it didn’t. Had to wash it off.

El producto SI deja una pantalla blanca, aunque en la publicidad dice que es transparente y no deja capa. Parecía el fantasma Gasparín, despues de la aplicación y duró así por varias horas....Sheer se supone que implica que es ligera y prácticamente transparente, pero no.

Very worst one. I was very eager to try this. Once i applied it on my face. Its not getting gel with our face. Ended up with white cast and looks like ghost. After few hours also its looks the same. Very very worst.
