This scale is fantastic. Much more affordable and just as reliable as any twice as pricey as far as I can tell

Readings are very stable when left unloaded (it stayed at a reading of 0.0000 g all week.) If a load is left on it (like the calibration weight), it tends to drift by about 4 mg over a few hours, then stabilize. My impression of its construction is good, with a well designed and built enclosure, base, and pan. The glass cover plates slide easily. A $500+ scale might not sound 'cheap' to most people, but for an analytical scale, you're getting a lot for the money!

This scale did a great job for my applications. Simple and easy to calibrate and use. The only downside that doesn’t give it 5 stars was the sliding doors. The scale is very sensitive to air flow and the doors didn’t seem to keep it sealed enough.

- it is very accurate for analytical and compounding use and the reading is very stable even when used inside a a running Hood. I took out one star because of the included calibration weight which has issues as follow : - the included calibration weight is not certified and looked kind of shady. when I calibrated against a certified weight 200gm, it did show a difference, so use your own calibration weight. the company should not have used a cheap one for a 0.1mg balance. the 2nd issue is that calibration is fixed to 200gm. you can not change it. on a 0.1mg high accuracy balance you should use a smaller weight. I purchased a 1gm certified weight just to discover that I can not use it to calibrate. but as a good surprise, it measured it very accurately (0.9999gm to 1.0000 gm with repeated attempts) after a calibrated the balance using my certified 200gm Wieght. so the balance is still very good value for the money, just purchase your own calibration weight. Also reviews you need to know how to correctly calibrate. you need to leave it in place to acclimatize for 2-3 hours , balance the base, leave it on for 1 hr. then attempt to balance. you should not touch the certified weight at any time (even to remove it from its case). do not touch the balance or you should wear nitrile gloves during the calibration. you should have all reading with the windshield closed and wait between steps for the balance to stabilize. once done verify and repeat then verify.
