Q: From bottom of unit, how much open space? Blocking a dog

A few inches - a small dog may go under it. A bigger dog would knock the divider over. It's not heavy.

Q: Can the 71inch high panels pipes be broken down

No. The panels are one piece and the poles are designed to connect with each other so you would not have a base to stabilize the panels.

Q: Missing small black insert for screw how do I get a replacement

I have this question, too. It's molded to the curve of the poles, so I doubt you can find any thing to replace it. Seller?

The small thin bars are for the top and bottom only. They slide into the then flap at the top and bottom. Hope this helps. ?
