Super
Arrived clean and in good condition. Only a few had cracks or holes, but overall they were whole and in good shape. As many other purchasers, these were bought for keeping shell-dwellers in an aquarium. Unfortunately that plan hasn't come to fruition as of yet, so I can't speak on that matter, however this product is known to be the go-to for such a use and that's why this product/brand was selected.

Super quality shells.
Great shells. All of them usable and unbroken although a few extras for that (unbroken) were included free. Very clean.

Very happy with these
These are beautiful shells and you get quite a good bunch. I bought as a gift with canned escargot and the stoneware plates as well. It made a lovely gift.

Higher quality, thicker, none broken.
Finally! Quality shells. Not one of the 36 were broken, and they are a little thicker, so no holes for butter to leak out of. Some other venders are selling thin broken shells(out of 24 shells, 10 were usable for escargot.) This vender/brand all 36 shells are usable. Thank you.

Very Good for shell dwellers!
I want to start off by saying I did not buy these for culinary reasons, I bought them for my shell dwelling cichlids. With that out of the way, the shells are perfect for my shell dwellers and are exactly as they claim, extra large! From a culinary stand point ( and I guess technically me as well since I like looking at my fish ... duh ) the shells are visually nice but some of them have deep scratches, chipped pieces ( but surprisingly nothing large just minor edge chips ) so that might be a minus for some people. In terms of value it’s very good! Usually shells are very expensive because they’re for fancy food making making it very hard for fish keepers to get their hands on and $16-17 for 36 shells is a bargain! In terms of packaging ... their are definitely improvements to be made. The actual bag they come in is fine but the ENTIRE bag and all the shells are covered in this gross “grimy?” / at the same time starchy layer, definitely not ideal for cooks and tank people alike since it’s takes a lot of work to clean every shell. Another problem average is 36 shells ... I got 32, still a great deal but would have liked the specified amount not to be so far from what I actually got. Overall it’s a strong 4/5 stars.

Perfect for shell-dwelling cichlids
My Neolamprologus multifasciatus took to these as soon as I added them to the tank. I put the shells in before lights out, and in the morning, the fish had ALL VANISHED... into the shells! They had moved in right away and have been making little adjustments daily to their shell village. Perfect size for your shellies to use. Before adding to tank, rinse them, and then and rotate each shell slowly in all directions several times under the aquarium water to get all bubbles out of the central depth so they won't wobble and float around.

Perfect for shell dweller fish
I have Neolamprologus multifasciatus (Multies). They are a small (1-2 inch) cichlid from Lake Tanganyika, Africa. They love these shells for their dwelling and breeding. I suggest to buy a lot of them as more places to hide makes them very happy! All natural and very colorful shells. It adds some contrast to the fish as they are a light sandy color. I bought two bags for a colony of about 20 adults and babies. I already had about a dozen shells but needed more for my growing colony. Rule of thumb is 2 shells per adult if you didn't know. Hope this helps!
