Great replacement!
I have a 6 quart KitchenAid and I’ve always hated the plastic top that came with them and I’ve had several so far. This came and fit perfectly with the cup in the middle that is removable for measuring and great for storing. It’s sturdy. It fits snuggly and definitely keeps down the mess. When I say keep down the mess I make a lot of homemade butter, and as anybody that has made it, it can go everywhere out the side of that original KitchenAid, this will save me a lot of cleaning up. It came with a package of two of them. Hope the first one never breaks. I will never put it in the dishwasher and hand wash it but it is definitely a plus.

Was hoping it would work on a 5qt mixer
Unfortunately this didn't work on my 5qt mixer but unsurprising since it is listed for 5.5-6 qt mixers. Thought I'd give it a shot since someone mentioned in their review that it fit their 5qt. Unfortunately it did not fit my K5-A which is a 5qt. So still on the hunt for a cover that fits my bowl lift mixer! I'm sure this works well if it fits as it was exactly what I was looking for minus the size. As mentioned in the listing the cover is 9.75" wide. FYI, the opening for the beaters is 5.5" (or 13 cm).

keeps it clean
I got this mostly to keep the bowl clean while the mixer is not in use. It fulfills that requirement. I wish the hole in the center would be able to stay on when using the whisk attachment to help prevent splatters. The whisk hits it when rotating. The cover also does not really work if you need to add ingredients when mixing using a different attachment. The cover is in the way. So the cover is only usable for me when it is covering when stored.

Hole is cut incorrectly
The middle hole isn’t actually big enough for the rotation of the whisk or dough attachments. It’s hitting this one spot that’s cut too narrow and it eventually going to cause small shards of plastic to get into whatever I’m making. Really annoyed because I’ve been needing something like this for a while and I was getting annoyed using a towel every time to make butter. One of these isn’t working but I’m hoping the other one is cut correctly.

They do the trick to keep dust out of my mixing bowl as my mixer lives on my counter BUT the middle removable piece is WAY too loose. Easily pops out and is a little annoying
