Black Cast Pipe Fitting, Nipple, 3/4" x 12-inch Length, 10-Pack

I make pipe shelves and other decorations. I ordered these because they are cheaper on Amazon.They were nicely packaged and I haven't been disappointed yet. The color is very black. The other 4 inch 3/4 pipe I've been using are a more metal look. If you're expecting a lighter color you'll be surprised. They really are black.

I bought a number of couplings and short pipes to run a gas line, which was listed in it's uses. I put it together with Teflon tape and tested it with water. The pipes screwed all the way in and still leaked like sieves. I suppose it would be fine if you're making shelving or art work, but don't plan on putting anything through it.

The pipes are coated in a black paint that comes off on your hands. There is also labels on each pipe that is also taped to the pipe making it hard to get off. We had to use alcohol and WF-40 to help remove the adhesive.Otherwise the pipes are fine and a good value compared to buying at loca hardware store.

Worked perfect for purpose bought. Because it is iron was dirty to handle.

And cost me a lot less than locally. Nipple (unseen) is what connects the top & bottom pipes.

Could not get these at the local hardware store. I used them to make a hat rack.
