Skandika Vegas Junior Sleeping Bag

Great value. Quite long for my 3 year old but room to grow.

Used for 15-20 nights over last 18months or so and the zip has broken, avoid!

Do not waste your time with this. We bought this based on its 2/3 season rating and the reviews. Well it's hardly a 1/2 season - def not a 3. Went camping mid May in mild conditions and ended up with my child climbing into my sleeping bag he was that cold. We own a Gelert pod which has several poor reviews and it had no issues. Shall promptly be reaching this bag....

This vivid and brightly coloured sleeping bag is an eye-catching sleeping bag that my son loves. He loves that he has got his very own sleeping bag and that it is so colourful and cool looking. At 5 years old my son fits really well in the VEGAS Junior sleeping bag without it being too big for him and having lots of room for him to grow into. The great size also means that he is comfortable when sleeping and has room to move in the sleeping bag without feeling too enclosed which is a must-have feature as he tends to move about and wriggle a lot on his sleep! The mummy style design of the sleeping bag means that it is lovely and snug for him to sleep in. Having used the sleeping bag for camping trips and sleep overs, using it during mild autumn and warmer spring days so far (with plans of using it lots during upcoming summer) he has been cosy and warm inside and throughout the night. The sleeping bag is lovely and thick, being rather plush and as such he has been comfortable sleeping in it even on the tent flooring. When not in use and rolled up it takes up very little room which is good for when storing at home or transporting in the car for a camping trip. The sleeping bag is a great price for a good quality, cosy and comfortable sleeping bag ideal for little ones. The only negative I have is that I believe it is good for both boys and girls, and need not be marketed as a boys sleeping bag.We received the sleeping bag from Skandika for our camping adventures to review.

It’s a reasonably priced sleeping bag that is definitely worth getting for a child and will last years to come. The kids loved it thanks to how cosy it is and its bright colours. One thing I liked was that you had the choice between either a left-handed zip (the blue sleeping bag) or a right-handed zip (the green one). Despite the fact that they say the blue is the boys’ version and the green for girls, the colour schemes are plain enough that they could be used for either. My husband and I had the cosy Skandika Aberdeen sleeping bags on our camping trip to Orkney, whilst our eldest son (aged 4) had this Vegas sleeping bag. Considering how much thinner it feels than our own sleeping bags, I was surprised at just how cosy he was in it. He had no trouble sleeping and was warm every night, even with temperatures going down into the single figures.The bag itself is great quality and easy to zip and unzip. My son loved sleeping in his bag and had no issues whatsoever. As the sleeping bag is a junior size and slightly shorter than adult bags it was perfect for our 4 year old. He has plenty of room to grow into, without feeling like he's getting lost in it.
