NEIKO 40447A Rechargeable Cordless Underhood Work Light, 202 SMD LED Light Bar with Max 1,200 Lumens, Li-Ion Battery, and 2 Brightness Modes

Finally a nice quality rechargeable light. Two mounting options were included with the light. The pictured spring loaded arm lets you hook over the edges of a hood or across the roof inside the car. There is also a set of magnetic mounts included though their usefulness is questionable as more cars come with aluminum roofs. The manufacturer shows using them on a painted exterior surface but that's a good way to scratch a car. The light itself is quite bright, even on the lower output mode--my eyes can't tell much of a difference. Everything feels well made, with the only questionable spots being plastic clips to attach the light to the spring loaded arm. The arm ships in two pieces and the connection is a little loose, but plenty secure. Overall an excellent buy. Used it for my first project, installing a remote starter so lots of interior work, and simply put worked awesome to light up the interior. Worked about 5 hours with the light on. In looking at the connection on the two pieces of the arm, I think shooting a couple screws in the connection would make it stiffer, not that its really a problem.

I’ve been using this for quite some time and I will say it’s way better than snap ons hood light. I’ve compared it to my buddies and the brightness is better. It’s pretty durable, I’ve dropped it a few times and it’s holding up. I’d choose this over any magnetic hood light.

Works perfectly! Just wish the actual bulb was a little longer but other than that everything has been great with it. Update: after a month of use the light melted by the power cord. Contacted the manufacturer and never heard back. Fired hazard!

As a full-time mechanic, I’ve relied on various lighting solutions over the years, and the Neiko 40447A has proven to be an invaluable addition to my toolkit. This underhood light offers a blend of brightness, durability, and convenience that enhances productivity during vehicle repairs.

We use it for morning car details and it’s perfect for dark mornings or helping to light up smaller cars. Haven’t used the magnet yet but it’s definitely light enough to be held with the two provided magnets. It warns you not to bump it too much which is a cause for concern but other than that, it charges well and lasts a decent amount of time!

LED's are great for lighting up areas. If you work on cars in your garage it just seems that no matter what type of lighting you have it is not enough that makes its way in to the engine compartment. Here comes this device. Strength? This is pretty sturdy and strong. The springs at either end are not going to crush your hood, but coupled with the fine detail of adding rubber to the hooked ends this work light is a great addition to any car enthusiast. The lighting is great too, I have used this on several car projects and work and this was awesome. So well, I worked until 1am on a work night. Lost track of time and just kept working and working because the ease of seeing things. Of course I was a wreck the next day, but the job was done. This is a must have for any one who works on cars. A bit pricey, but quality does come with a price tag. I am happy to have bought this and making working on my cars easier.....well, not on a work night. Lol But you will love this.

Great light for about 20 mins then it went dull, recharged it and still dull. Turns on and off ok just a faint glow

Solo una vez me sirvió ,me aguanto como 2 hrs y posteriormente lo volví a cargar por más de 4 hs y ya no encendió. decepcionado del producto
