Much Better Than Expected - Watch It!
This was a great movie. The storyline was so much better than other recent cop movies (*examples below), with big comedy stars, that fail. The nerdy jokes about online gameplay really modernized the whole good cop - dumb cop dynamic.A quick summary of the film: Kevin Hart wants to prove that he is man enough to marry Ice Cube's sister. Ice Cube plays a police officer so Kevin Hart decides he will go on a Ride Along to prove himself and also test his own aspirations of being a cop. The movie also stars Laurence Fishburne and John Leguizamo. I would love to see a sequel on this one.I am sure many detractors will say that 21 Jump Street - and now 22 Jump Street - were funnier, but I felt the dialogue and sequences in those films were too predicatable. I know that was part of the humor and intention, but then why am I paying for a movie I can completely predict? Also 22 Jump Street was just a lazy sequel.(*ie Paul Blart with Kevin James, The Other Guys with Will Ferrel, Observe and Report with Seth Rogan, etc)

Full on Fun
This would have to be one of the top ten comedy's to come out for a long time. Storyline is fantastic and the actors performed at their best and what could you ask for more than this. A story that everyone can relate to when a family member sister wants a blessing in the family. So they put up with a some what boyfriend who is, well I'm not saying and a big brother who stands in their way of happiness. I know that it sounds like a lot of other movies but this one is different and grabs you by the hand not letting go, there are times you do and times you don't and boy does he get into trouble. A big brother cop and a little lover trying to prove he belongs in the family group will he be accepted or not now that is the answer, which I will leave up to you and let you decide I rated this an A grade plus for the thrills and errors that come about in the movie so now it's time to collect the popcorn gather up your movie retire to the lounge put your feet up and become engrossed in a fabulous night of entertainment of laughter and fun. Enjoy!

Trailers are for promoting...
And the trailer for this film indicated it would be excellent entertainment. The plot is straight out of every other cop buddy film, but there is a reason why these plots work. They tell a good story. Kevin Hart and Ice Cube are great as potential brothers-in-law. I particularly liked the over achiever in Kevin Hart's character. He is a good man who wants his fiancee to be proud of him. She is proud of him ;ready, but he feels like if he just gets the brother's approval, he'll be in. The brother is already a police officer and so he attempts to show his potential brother-in-law the ropes hoping to discredit him and make him see that he isn't qualified to do more than his middle school guard job. In the end, they become friends and everyone lives happily (how could you not with Kevin Hart) ever after. A tried and true plot line excellently delivered by the actors.

A fairly decent action/comedy with Ice Cube in it and Kevin Hart. A few other well known actors and a fairly good story line for what it is.. Funny in places and worth a watch to pass the time for sure :) I enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to seeing what the second one has to offer...

Waste of money
I bought this dvd going by the reviews, disappointed to say the least, Kevin Hart was really annoying, only one or two funny bits the rest was really rubbish, will not be watching this again, confined to the rubbish shelf

Hilarious
This film is fantastic and funny from beginning to end. If you like Kevin Hart you will love this, he plays his part perfectly, good storyline and some hilarious moments, probably my favourite comedy of 2014 so far.
