Everyday Optimism: How to Be Positive and Present at Work, at Home and in Love

Nice guide to dip in and out of.
If ever we're in need of some everyday optimism, it's now, as most of us find ourselves unexpectedly at home for the foreseeable future. The premise of this book is that it's unrealistic to expect full in happiness and joy every single moment of every single day, but that by being 'positively present' we can learn to be grateful and appreciative of all the good things in our lives, even when things may not seem wonderful. There are some nice practical tips for being positively present in different areas of life - I paid particular attention to the section on dealing with unexpected change! The list at the end of 52 ways to be positively present was also appealing. I did find it quite repetitive though, and most of it is common sense.I'd say it's more a useful guide to dip in and out of as you feel you need a bit of support, rather than a book you'd want to read in one sitting.Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book.
