Amazing service from the seller!
Unfortunately the tank arrived and had a broken hinge and the light did not work. I emailed the seller and had a replacement arrive at no cost within a few days! The replacement had the same broken hinge, but the light worked so all was good. I emailed to let the seller know something in the packaging may be causing that same hinge to break during shipping and they insisted on giving us a full refund! Very amicable and fast. Their service was very refreshing!. The tank is the perfect size for a beta and the filter was super simple to assemble! The light and color options make the tank shine and our daughter loves it and her new half moon rosetail beta named Buddy!

Terrible design, extremely cheap plastic parts, developed a toxic smell— buyer beware!
I rarely have written a negative review for anything, but my experience with this small aquarium was so awful I felt the need to share this information. If I could have contacted the seller directly, I would have. This is not my first small aquarium and I consider myself fairly well informed as to how to handle them. I purchased this aquarium for my Betta fish who had outgrown his small (one gallon) bowl. When I unpacked the aquarium I was initially pleased with the solid glass construction. However, after reading the enclosed instructions, I washed each part thoroughly and started to assemble the pump unit. The first thing I noticed was that the soft rubber connectors were “shedding” small bits of material, and when I tried to connect it to the pump the rubber tubing split! (See photo). Next, the clear air tubing was no where near long enough to attach to the pump and come out the back as it is supposed to. (See photo) Luckily I had some spare tubing. Then, when I tried to place the pump into the frame, I noticed that the rubber grommet part was not aligned properly and wouldn’t hang straight! (See photo). Regrettably, I decided to give it a go anyhow and got it filled and running. Once the temperature was ready to transfer my fish, I did so. Within a week my fish went from being young and energetic, to not eating and lethargic. I transferred him back to his bowl and he slowly recovered. I thoroughly cleaned the aquarium again, and gave it about two weeks to try transferring my once fish again. He seemed okay for a few days, and then went rapidly downhill again! When I opened the top of the aquarium to remove him I noticed a strong, chemical smell that was in no way healthy!! I removed the cave/plant first, thinking it might be from that and it also smelled bad, like hot plastic! I threw that in the trash, but 24 hours later the aquarium still smelled so bad that I removed my poor fish AGAIN and placed him back into his small bowl. He was very weak but has recovered somewhat. Something is VERY WRONG with either the pump, the plastic connectors or both. Unfortunately I’m passed my window for return now, but I hope the manufacturer will get this message.

Check that the light and filter work before set up
This one is on me! The tank is great, set up was strange the directions are not super clear but we got it. But I should have checked that the light and filter worked before full set up, the light doesnt work and now it is all set up and I will not tear it down and send it back. Other then that it is perfect for what we are wanting it for.

Filter was confusing & tank is dark
Overall this is an okay nano aquarium , it was mostly easy to set up but the tubing for the filter was too short to fit through the opening in the lid like the directions said to do. The filter was also a little confusing but I figured it out. The tank is really cute, but not a ton of space to be able to get your hand in there for aquascaping . It’s also kinda dark even with the light on which makes it hard to see the fish in there . I’m not loving it, it’s cute & doesn’t take up a ton of space but I don’t feel like it’s worth 40$ I got a way nicer 10 gal for 40$. Not worth the price but overall a mediocre tank

Amazing Fish Tank A+++
This is an amazing fish tank, Jack loves it! I also really want to give the seller kudos, the instructions are a little off from the version you get but not so much you can’t figure it out. I can tell why though, they read the reviews and are always doing things to improve the version with suggestions given. I noticed a lot of people complained about the air that came out the side, in the version I got they completely fixed it so there is no air coming out the side unless you want it too by adding a hose and a rubber piece. Thank you for offering quality products, at affordable pricing!

More like a “Fix Tank” than a Fish Tank
Goodlooks goodInexpensive (sort of)comes with a lot of parts that you needConswater filter flow is much too strong and killed our fish within 24 hours (RIP, “Tuna”) I wound up having to get some half inch tubing and cut some slots in it to diffuse the power of the flow.(see image)Air intake actually just spits out water instead of in taking air 90% of the time. That’s because there’s no stopper or anything so if you don’t get the pressure instruction just right it actually just pushes water out. Once I thought I got it to work as expected, but no. The pressure reversed or something and water was pushed out of the tank, draining it while I was at work. (RIP, “Tuna Two”)I wound up having to get an air stopper and added it into the line (again see photo)The light is super bright and doesn’t really have the colors as advertised. There are theee settings, but they change every time you turn the light off and on again. Solution I put a timer on it so it’s only on for a couple of hours a day automated, this keeps the fish happy, but now I have to look at a different color each time. That’s not…terrible… but I can much rather be able to set one color that stays the same if I turn the light off and onTakeaway: in theory this is a great all-in-one tank. In reality, it requires a lot of modifications to actually get to work and it would’ve been cheaper/easier to just get a slightly more expensive tank that came with all the parts working as needed.Why didn’t I return it? I like fixing things and it seemed like more of a hassle to empty, dry and return it then to fix it.
