... this for the car and boat was kind of disappointed with the way it works
Got this for the car and boat was kind of disappointed with the way it works. You have to really barely allow any type of pressure on it in order to get it to rotate like it should. When it does rotate work great, but as soon as to much pressure on it then no rotating

Great Product!
Works Great!!! I used it to polish and wax my daughter's black 2009 Honda Civic. She is a college student and her car is always parked outside in the weather and next to sprinklers on campus. Using a good polish removed the watermarks from the clear coat. I then applied a good layer of wax for the topcoat. I was amazed at how easy this machine handled throughout the entire process!!! See attached picture.

Great price and works great for boat gel coat
Picked this up to polish the gel coat on the boat and this does a fantastic job. 10" Orbital is nice sized for boat and auto use, it's light weight but as others have noted, not cheap feeling at all. I spent 2 hours this morning dealing with oxidized "6 years worth" gel coat and the boat looks like new.The short power cord isn't an issue, you'll just need an extension cord. I looped the extension cord over my shoulder to keep it away from me feet which also kept it from coming unplugged. As another reviewer noted they should relocate the power switch. I kept turning it on/off in rapid succession until I got used to it. I did get splattered with polishing compound due to the switch issue but it's definitely not a deal breaker. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to wax/polish a car, RV, or boat.

Save your money!
Worked like a charm...three times. Then it abruptly quit without any good reason, and right in the middle of waxing. Really aggravating. Waste of money.

Tackled the job admirably
I decided I wanted my car to shine this summer, so I figured I'd need some tools to get the job done properly. I remembered from a stroll through the automotive department at a local super-department store (that will remain nameless....) that Turtle Wax made their own cheap buffer/polisher. As far as I can tell, this is the same machine, only in a grey casing, rather than Turtle Wax green.Anyways, this little guy was just what I needed. It works just as a orbital sander would, rather than a grinder or dremmel tool. In other words, the bottom moves around in little swirls, it doesn't rotate per se, like a grinder would. The actual operation of the tool takes a bit of practice, because you need to apply enough pressure to apply wax or polish, but too much pressure means that the pad will stop moving due to friction.I polished my car in about 20 minutes. This is down from a little over an hour with a hand rag.Be aware that the unit comes with 2 bonnets, but you will want to buy many more, as they do not last too long. I went through two polish applicator bonnets on my compact car. You will also need an extension cord, as you can see from the item photo, the power cord is maybe 8 inches long. This is so you can form a square knot with the extension, eliminating the possibility of the unit coming unplugged by accident.Overall, I found this polisher to be of decent quality for a fair price.

It feels good in your hands and gets the job done but ...
You wouldn't now you spent 1/3rd the money on this product as a more professional orbiter by using it. It feels good in your hands and gets the job done but be warned: this is a pretty big orbiter, so if you have a small car like mine, there aren't any panels you can effectively use it on without running into door and window edges. For larger vehicles though, this would be perfect.

The button for turning on is horribly placed
Dont buy this. Its cheap, but thats it for benefits. The button to turn on is bad. The handle for it is badly placed. Dont buy, please. Spend a little more.

Bueno
Bien producto. El cable es demasiado corto. Sin embargo, como sugiere uno de los comentarios de otro comprador, es buena idea usar una extensión y acomodartelo sobre el hombro para poder maniobrar bien.

Lightweight and Powerful
This was purchased for polishing and waxing my cars. The variable speed works very well, and it has two handles.
