Zeiss 10x42 Terra ED Binoculars (Black)

Excellent optics and brightness, which is what you’d expect from Zeiss. It’s fairly compact, though too big to fit in your pocket easily. Very lightweight for the magnification. It comes with a neck strap, hard protective case and lens covers, which isn’t obvious from the description, in case you were wondering.

Replaced an old pair of Bushmasters, which were very good for the money, but time took its toll. Selected these based on the name, and am exceedingly happy. Crystal clear, easy to focus. Excellent product.

When it comes to optics the proof is in the pudding. As soon as you look through these binoculars the quality is apparent. Light weight, great ergonomics, attractive design.

I love seeing birds up close & personal their eyes, the markings and coloring, each feather - and these do a pretty good job for the price to let some light in and see some detail.

I am a 67 year old male amateur birder who took up the hobby during the pandemic. Previously, I had a pair of Nikon Aculons, which were way too powerful, low light, shaky etc. I started to search for a new set bouncing back and forth between reviews and comparisons of the Zeiss Terra’s that I bought, and the Zeiss Concquest. The price difference is $500 higher with the Conquest. Both were in the 10x42 range as I had decided that to be the power that I worked best with. I also looked at the Vortex, Steiner, and Nikons in the same power range and price. The quality of vision between the Terra’s that I bought and the Conquest was just not worth the extra $500. Maybe to a younger person the difference might be important, but the Terra’s that I bought are really excellent for my use, my age, my expected longevity before some serious eye correction (cataracts) that I could not pass them up. And when they actually came - 2 days ahead of schedule- I was extremely pleased, more than pleased with my decision. Great glasses for a multitude of uses- I could even see hunting at long ranges without a stabilizer or tripod. Don’t pass these up.

Love these binoculars. They are heavier than the Nikons I have, but compact. Easy to hold and focus. I use them mainly for bird watching and they provide wonderfully sharp images.

The fact that the binoculars allow you to see an object from a very close distance, like birding, th e bird can be in front of you but in a shady spot. the lens brings more light into the bird permitting the identification in a much easier fashion.

A high quality product with really excellent optics, a real win on value for money.

Di certo non è economico, il nome Zeiss è una garanzia che si paga nel prezzo. Di certo e’ solido nell’aspetto, luminoso, ben fatto negli accessori con gli occhielli per salvaguardare i tappi di protezione, preciso e fluido nelle regolazioni. Peccato solo che la custodia esterna non sia fatta per essere portata a tracolla.

Los prismáticos presentan un estado general inaceptable para un producto que, aunque usado, ha sido vendido por Amazon bajo la etiqueta de “Muy bueno”. Muestra numerosos arañazos, tanto superficiales como profundos. Además, llegaron en condiciones lamentables de limpieza. Las lentes estaban cubiertas de grasa, polvo terroso e incluso con restos de tabaco. Además tienen problema aún más grave, el mal funcionamiento del dispositivo. En particular, por un lado, la rueda de enfoque presenta una leve holgura y por otro el anillo de dioptrías no permite enfocar con nitidez en ninguno de sus pasos, lo que imposibilita el uso correcto del producto. En cualquier caso, se trata de fallos que requieren la revisión de un especialista y que, ponen de manifiesto el hecho de que estamos ante un artículo que nunca debió haberse puesto en venta.
