he MSI Force GC30V2 has been a fantastic controller for my PC gaming setup. I mainly use it to play Battlefield 6, and the performance is smooth and responsive with zero lag. The dual vibration motors add great feedback during gameplay, and the wireless connection has been rock-solid. It feels comfortable in my hands for long gaming sessions, and the buttons and joysticks have a quality, precise feel. The option to switch to wired when needed is a nice bonus, too. If you’re looking for a reliable, well-built controller for PC gaming, this one delivers.

This is a good controller for the price. I just wanted something to replace an old worn out xbox 360 controller for my PC. This is a controller that will live in the living room, get knocked around by pets and potentially get stuff spilled on it. I wanted something that was not expensive and would work, and for that purpose this controller is great. Better than a lot of other non first party controllers and it is wireless. The controller is almost an exact copy of the 360 controller shape. The plastic feels a little hollow but has a good weight in the hands. The joysticks are responsive and the face buttons click satisfyingly. I have been using it to play mass effect and I have had no issues in my 10 ish hours of playing. Controller has already survived a 2 foot drop onto a wood floor while it was charging and survived like a champ. If you need a controller for kids or for something you are going to throw into a bag this is a great option.

This controller is quite a gamble. I have seen people use ones where the joysticks and D-Pad are perfect, the best pros. Others where the D-Pad can only move four directions no matter how hard you press on the diagonals. Another where the joysticks have Cardinal Snapping. And the worst offender being both of the cons together. I am part of the third group, where the D-Pad is really good with moving all directions with ease. It is my go-to for 2D overhead titles and arguably on par with the Saturn 2D par and 6-button Mega Drive controller. But for the joysticks, I could not be any more unhappy. They have obvious Cardinal Snapping which makes it difficult to aim in FPS games and move around diagonally. I have only used the controller in top form because a friend let me use theirs for a minute. It was very nice and was hoping mine had the same joysticks and D-Pad. But unfortunately, that luck has been weak. The first time I ever got it, the joysticks and D-Pad were bad. Then the second time, only the joysticks. I might try one more time to see if I get both good joysticks and D-Pad, but I won't hold my breath. Other than that, everything else is fine. Buttons are great, analog triggers feel nice and firm and the grip is very comfortable. Only minor criticism is it going with Micro USB Instead of USB-C for the cable port, but that is not a huge problem. Battery life is also very solid, for sure lasting on even the longest of marathons. Despite my complaints, I heavily recommend this controller.

Completely dies after a couple months. I purchased one May 14 2025. One day in October 2025 it would not turn on. No lights no nothing so I purchased a second one (shame on me). In October 2025 and It just did the exact same thing in February 2026. Completely dead no matter what I try no lights won’t charge nothing. These controllers are cheaply made and are Chinese junk! I have had a couple MSI motherboards including the mag Tomahawk max I am currently using and have nothing but good things to say. However gaming controllers made by or for MSI are no good. Customer support for a twenty dollar purchase is non existent. Stay away from this item. I’m 0 for two. Verified purchase twice!!! Save time and money stay away

Looks and feels like a sturdy game controller. Keeps a decent charge even when not used for weeks. I get full functionality now as I did on day 1

I got this controller as a replacement for a genuine PS4 controller I was using for PC gaming. The below review is using this PS4 controller as comparison. The wireless dongle connection is a world of improvement over Bluetooth. It has never unexpectedly disconnected, where the PS4 would disconnect randomly and be an absolute pain to reconnect The build quality is solid. The plastic is much nicer than the other controller. The sticks are solid and responsive, same with the triggers. The metal magnetic interchangeable D pads are a really nice touch. Overall this is a well built controller. The battery life is great so you should have uninterrupted game time, but for marathon sessions I would recommend getting a very long Micro USB cable. All things considered, great controller. For PC gaming this gets a 10/10 to the PS4 controller's 4/10

New look and feel as advertised. Buttons and toggle/joy sticks were stiff and responsive. Weight is imbalanced. Connectivity is somewhat reliable. Started exhibiting issues i.e. bluetooth connectivity, battery life, delayed button response, etc. at or around the forth month. Gamepad is lifeless as of this writing. 5 month lifespan. 4 month healthspan.

Los controles son suaves al momento de jugar y tienen buena respuesta, aunque en mi caso particular tengo que desconectarlo y conectarlo para que mi computadora lo detecte, pero cumple su función y no le debe nada a un control de consola original.

for around $30 this is a very solid controller, for $60? there vastly beter options. itsaround the weight of a ps4 controller, doesnt leave finger prints, dpad feelsgood, Ive been using it pretty regularly for about 2-3 years with no issues. works flawlessly on linux. The only downside is that theres no compartment to store the dongle inside the controller when youre not using it. i personally just leave the dongle in my pc at all times and simp[ly hitting the MSI button to enable the wireless mode works fine but its just annoying since it would really suck to lose it, small wireless mice ahve had this feature for along time it should have been here too this is my new standard of cheap reliable controllers

6 month update: After 6 months of pretty good usage the right stick has started to malfunction, sometimes causing the controller to be stuck in a position. However this is easily solved by pulling the stock out and pushing it back in. So in terms of quality I would say it's pretty decent as apart from the stick issue, I have dropped the controller at least a dozen or more times on a hardwood floor and not a single piece of it broke off. Good controller, well built and connects seamlessly to my PC. I tried it on two games, Gear Tactics and StarWars Survivor and it worked well on both. Vibration function is the same as console controllers and synced to in-game action. There is a changeable magnetic button which is easy to pull out and change. Love the controller and would recommend it!
