Does a good job
Used this to renew my archery kit, really good and very pleasing on the eyes. Quite a strain to remove the layers but taking time gets the job done. Cutting with a thinish scalpel is key. It's a good solid foam so should protect items well and snuggly.

Does what you expect
Decent shadow foam and very easy to cut down to size and around tools. I would highly recommend ordering a scalpel off Amazon to do all your tool cutouts. All the tools fit snug and don’t jump out of their position. Not the most dense shadow foam available on the market so maybe not the best choice if you are really trying to cram in a lot of tools (I only noticed this when fitting my spanners in). Overall though great shadow foam for the money!

easy to cut, turns out to be a tool finding time saver.
chose this teal 5cm depth x 1metre shadow foam to tidy up the sewing tools, normally the tool need sinks to bottom of box, that takes time to locate. decided to buy a large sheet for other projects later, have over half left after this box was completed. wanted a colour that would highlight the tools, teal green seemed to match needs, decided to use green side up for low light situations. getting the layout that would work took me days, some tools are layered or on side, wearing goggles using a snap bladed knife, cutting was easy thankfully. however my hands must of been warm from fear of sharp blade usage, because fingers had little green marks, so wore gloves after that discovery. due to the lid being triangular, we made templates first out of breakfast cereal box then used 24" quilting rule to slice rectangles out of sheet of tool box size before curving corners. laid out all tools to ensure would fit then used the snap blade longer hence safety goggles traced round the boxes first, removal of material was as expected slow and steady to get a good base. cut in 3 x scissors rotary cutter and blades box underneath the cutter. the lid storage contains 5 rulers, pencil, seam ripper and snips. its not glued in yet stays against smooth painted metal. the advantage to shadow foam is when knock the metal tool box off table with lid closed accidently there is no crash bang wallop, the tools stay in place. when using, tools are found easily and extracted without getting green fingers. never blunted the snap blade or needed to snap for a sharper blade its like cutting a good light yet fruity fruit cake. all in all pleased done this.

Pistol
Perfect for my case though I found it difficult breaking layers out to my spec. Ended up using foam hot wire cutter. Good product though.

Easy to work with
I used this foam previously on all manner of wee projects, including a previous iteration of my tackle box, I wanted to remodel my boat fishing box so purchased another sheet. One sheet is perfect for what I wanted with loads left over for other things. It's easy enough to cut and shape as long as you have a very sharp blade, I used a scalpel and a wee craft knife, to get clean edges you need to ensure you have cut right through before attempting to pull out the shapes. Maybe a bit pricey, but overall I'd say for me it was definitely worth it

Great for outdoors or work
Really thick and spongy. Perfect for camping or kneeling on at work/home, really protects the knees and supportive for the back. Can be easily cleaned by wiping down with a damp cloth then drying. Slightly waterproof film on top. Easy to cut down to size if needed too.
