Excellent benchtop meter. Large and clear display and easy to read results. Excellent manual and laminated cheat-sheet card. Electrode stand is very convenient serving as that missing third hand. Reading stability and electrode health measurements after calibration very, very useful. Overall, a big step up from my trusty but aging portable meter. Highly recommended.

As a sterile compounding pharmacy, I can not overstate how important it is to have a quality PH meter for our compounded preparations. The Apera PH meter has been a great addition to our process of ensuring we provide our clients with quality products. Will recommend it to any compounding pharmacy or labs needing to get accurate PH readings of their products.

Although some people say it is not accurate, their reviews sound like probe problems. For me, the reading is very fast and stable. I was a bit surprised the reading is super fast compared with others but so far there’s no problem with biological experiments. Will see how long it lasts. I bought 3probes already for the meter as I like it!

The probe was so accurate I. The beginning but then was off by .3 all the time which isn't much however it's brand new. Maybe the temperature had something to do with that. Other than that easy to use and very popular. You cannot however replace electrolyte piece at bottom. You have to buy a new one.

Unit seems a bit cheap in some aspects, but display is large and lighted. Unit also seems to be very accurate and not as complicated as you might think at first. While it’s not portable you will get accurate readings that seem to show where the hand held units with probes are slightly off. I will say after owning a couple of apera probes, ph 60 and then their BT zen unit that after purchasing this ph700 I would not purchase those again, they performed erratically and fell apart as they are poorly constructed. I hope this one will erase that feeling and last a long time.

Surprisingly good pH meter for the money. Although only a single junction gel filled electrode, it had a solid response time and calibrates very easily. Additional specialty probes including higher end liquid filled ones are available and very reasonably priced. The screen is easy to read, calibration procedure is intuitive and the arm, while not articulated, is still very handy. Another nice touch is that the slope percentage is shown after calibration, which gives you a heads-up in case you fumbled the calibration or if the probe is on its way out. Overall I'm impressed by the value for money and would definitely consider one of their higher research grade units for more serious/professional lab use.

I use it in a scientific laboratory where pH data is critically important. I found that it is simple but easy to use instrument. The calibration is quick and simple. The results are precise. I highly recommend this instrument.
