Does the base dial pad light up

Jason - The telephone base of the VTech VG208 does not have a keypad light. The feature is available on the cordless handset. The display screen on both the telephone base and cordless handset gave backlight. Thank you!

How do i delete the newvoice mail display ?

Hi - The "New Voicemail" display on the VTech VG208 is a signal from your telephone service provider to indicate new messages recorded on your Voicemail subscription. This is different from answering system built in on the telephone system. You can temporarily delete the notification; however, it will display again as soon as you receive a notification from your telephone service provider. Here's how you can turn off the Voicemail indicator temporarily. 1. Press the Menu/Select button on the cordless handset. 2. Press the CID down button to scroll to Settings, then press the Menu/Select. 3. Press the CID down button to scroll to Clr Voicemail, then press the Menu/Select. Hope this helps!
