Victorian Charm
This project is absolutely gorgeous!! The fabric is Navy Blue, so if you are a beginner, you may want to put a white towel or pillowcase on your lap or use a strong work lamp so you can see. So far, this project has been awesome... Im working on the window with the cat in it now- as the roof below was the starting point. I tried to put it on my qsnap frame, but the fabric is not wide enough (I have a 11X11 frame). So I am using a large hoop instead. No problems so far, all of the thread is presorted and put on cards, the kit comes with a needle, and the pattern is fairly easy to read. Backstitch will be no problem as it can be done as the project progresses instead of waiting until the very end. Some of the colors (the lights in the window and the pink on the house itself) has 1 strand of 2 colors held together, but that was no biggie for me, as I just made my own bobbins and color coded them myself. I cant wait until I am further along... this project is turning out to be beautiful! Thank you, Dimensions, for once again producing a beautiful kit for everyone to enjoy! And thank you Amazon, for making the kit so easy to get (great price!)!

Love Dimension's Kits!
I love that these kits come with everything, and the sorter cards are awesome! This one is so cute, and I love that the fabric is dark, so the vibrant colors really stand out.

Beautiful detail
Can't go wrong with Dimensions kits: more than ample floss, strong colors, popping detail. This was the first I did on blue cloth and it was a challenge and I needed additional light most of the day but the final product did not disappoint! Just beautiful!

Dark fabric is tricky but otherwise a great project
I am sewing this as a Christmas gift for a family member. The 18 ct dark fabric makes this more challenging than it would otherwise be. The stitches are simple but seeing them and squeezing them in can sometimes be frustrating. I actually use a small headlamp (like for camping) so I can see clearly (and that's with young eyesight!). It is, however, beautiful and I think it is progressing nicely. I love that the thread is presorted and so far I've had no issues with any of the kit items. I'll try to remember to update with more photos as I go along.

Very short in black thread, still looks good
I loved doing this cross stitch. It was a little challenging since it was on dark fabric, but the brighter color thread helped with that. The only problem I ran into was I was short on black thread. Not a little short, a LOT short! I ended up purchasing a couple skins of black DMC floss, and used about one and a half to complete the picture. Also this cross stitch has a ton of French knots. There are a bunch in the bushes, and the a ton as stars in the sky. I chose not to do the stars in the sky. I struggle with French knots generally, but I was able to do the flower ones. However the sky French knots use one strand of thread and it was difficult to get a good knot and not pull the last one out. It still looks good without them!

Loved it
Love dimensions. The dark fabric was definitely harder than white but I got use to it. Ran out of black though. Maybe I lost some

Cute design crummy floss
This design is really cute!! You get what you pay for with the floss. It shreds pretty easy. The aida is navy, so you have the added challenge of working on dark material.

Are you up to the challenge?
Another great cross stitch pattern by Dimensions. This one will be slightly more challenging since it is stitched on the included navy blue Aida cloth. All of the floss necessary to complete this project is included and presorted. Lots of bright colors here to stitch. Pattern is clear and looks fairly easy to follow once stitching has begun. A needle is also included. I had been looking at this pattern for a few months and finally decided to take the plunge. I'm glad I did and will find the stitching rewarding as this will be a first on this color Aida cloth.

This pattern is beautiful and I'm really enjoying stitching it. The stitches are quite small so I recommend a magnifying lamp, it has really made my stitching sessions so much more comfortable. I can't wait to finish this project and hang it up!

Attention ce n’est pas pour les débutants ! En revanche très jolie

I admit, I am not a cross stitch expert. I have done a couple of simple pieces and I'm ok with the basics. I can follow a printed pattern and make neat crosses and edging. I can finish the thread well so the back looks neat. What I don't have is a lot of experience but I wanted a statement piece. Something worth hanging on the all and saying "I made this!" So I bought this Victorian house cross stitch. It comes packed in a 12" clear plastic bag with the dark blue cloth and ready sorted coloured thread. The pattern is printed out in black and white and is easy and clear to see what colour goes where. It would have been easier to have it ready printed on the cloth but the edging and highlights and other detail shown on the counted pattern make it worth it. The actual stitching is mostly very straightforward. There are single and double thickness stitches and lots of blocks of the same colour which makes progress rapid. I am part way through right now and I will update the review when it is finished but I can say already that it is a worthwhile piece and very attractive. The lights and cats in the windows add a lot of character to the picture and there is lots to discover.

Per amanti di punto croce, è molto bello, molto faticoso, stanca la vista, ma mi da soddisfazione a fare.. ci metterò due anni per finire, ma valsa la pena..
