EXTREMELY sturdy and feels of very good quality. I was pleasantly surprised. I bought the mid tier length version and it's perfect for close up desk shots or top down shots. The knobs are easy to turn and tighten very well and the other knurled fasteners are great as well. Gets an excellent grip on pretty much anything within its clamp size range. It fits/holds my Sony zv1 perfectly. Definitely worth the money. Would buy again

Edit : The price has gone up 25% since Feb '23. These are not really a buyitforlife item. All the rubber tension/contact points quickly peal away, so be prepared to replace on a regular basis with something similar. I have a few of these for microphones, SDC and smaller LDC.. in the 1lb and under range. So far, they’ve been incredible, sturdy, easy to position and a cut above anything else in their price range. Move up to Manfrotto or Matthews if you wanna get fancy. Edit : The price has gone up 25% since Feb '23. Rubber on the clamp quickly peals away, so be prepared to replace.

I use this to hold a cellphone in place to act as a camera for a 3D printer. And it works well enough for that. I want to apologize in advance for any terms I incorrectly use regarding the arm. Pros: -The base clamp is very strong and grippy. I have never once worried about it slipping or loosening from vibration or force. -The phone is very secure in that clamp. The spring that pulls the two halves together is very strong and applies a lot of grip strength. -the configuration of the bars that make up the arm allow you put the arm is almost any position and largely keep it there. -lightweight and feels sturdy. I haven't had any concern about damaging parts. Cons: -The nut that locks the arm in place on the clamp has not been reliable. It will tighten enough the arm won't move much... unless you touch it, then slips very easily. The design of the clamp and nut doesn't really allow you to tighten it enough to prevent this. Of all the joints l, this is the only one I have to constantly adjust. -there is a pin and hole that line up between the base clamp and the arm that do not fit well together. The pin is too small for the hole and allows quite a bit of rotation as a result. This, combined with the issue above, basically remove the usability and function of the quick connect between the arm and base, which was the reason I selected this one over others. -the phone clamp could use a bit of rubber or some other grippy material on the two halves. While the clamp holds the phone well, it's still fairly easy to move to phone. Overall, it works well enough, but the few weaknesses mentioned hurt a lot of the functions I explicitly wanted it for.

I had tried a few different iPhone holders for my car. I didn’t like the ones that stick into a vent, because then the vent is covered. I tried one that went into the cup holder, and another that clamped onto the console, but they were both super jiggly. This one clamps on my console, and I can put it exactly where my hand can reach it efficiently. Best of all: ZERO JIGGLE! By far the best in-car phone holder I’ve tried (as long as you have someplace to clamp it tightly. Not all cars do).
