My all-time favorite hot sauce
My husband is a huge chili-head who is intent on trying nearly every hot sauce he can get his hands on, and grows some insanely hot peppers in our garden (for example 7-pot chilis which are of scorpion chili descent). We have tried dozens of different brands of hot sauces and have at least 5 at any time in our house including: Sriracha, Huy Fong chili paste, Valentina Extra Hot, Da Bomb Insanity, El Yucateco Habanero, Pain, Mad Dog 357, as well as grocery staples such as every variety of Tabasco, Cholula, Tapatio, Crystal Louisiana, Frank's RedHot. To hubby, Blair's Original Death Sauce is just ho hum in terms of spiciness, and After Death is his formulation of choice for everyday use. But for me, Original Death is the perfect hot sauce in terms of spiciness and flavor. It's not just heat, but also truly tasty! After all the ones we've bought over the years, Blair's Original is by far my favorite. My only regret is that this sauce is not available in larger bottles. If I could, I would buy this stuff by the quart so I could make my own Death wings. Oh well, I'll take it however I can get it. Side note - I wish these didn't have to come with the skull keychain every time. The first one was cool, but now we have 5 and I'm just going to start throwing them away. I feel like I'm being forced to pay for something I don't want or need. But this is far from being a deal breaker, as I have no other option for purchasing the best hot sauce I've ever tasted.

Blair's Hot Sauces are always a solid choice. Would recommend, & will buy again.
Blair's is a standard go-to for me, and I have a range of their products & many others. Even if it's not the hottest, it's definitely one of the more flavorful. Not necessarily recommended for newbies (e.g., start with Blair's Original). Always a solid choice; would recommend 100%

Hotter than regular, enjoyable flavor
Perfect for what I was looking for, a heavier kick than normal, however I was at the the 10k range now supposedly this is 30k scoville. A nice step up, still a nice, very light afterburn 30 min later

Excellent chipotle hot sauce--but could be a bit hotter
I'm a big fan of Blair's original Original Death Sauce, but I thought I'd give the chipotle version a try since I love that smokey chipotle flavor. This is one awesome sauce. It was instantly my favorite chipotle sauce, with just the right level of smokiness. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that it's not quite as hot as the original Death Sauce. On my own personal hotness scale, I rate the original Death Sauce at 4-alarm on a 5-alarm scale. Dave's Insanity Sauce comes in at 5-alarm, and for me it's just pure pain with no actual flavor. No thanks. 4-alarm is my limit for hotness, and the original Death Sauce hits the mark perfectly. It's right at the top end limit before pain takes over completely from flavor. This version, with chipotle, is real hot, but it's not as hot as the original recipe. If the original is 4-alarm, I put this at around 3.5-alarm. Hot, but it could be hotter. But all-in-all it's a terrific chipotle hot sauce.

Best all around hot sauce.
As a new entry in the hot sauce game I was looking to step it up from the usual store brand hot sauces (Tobasco, Sriracha, etc.). This sauce is the perfect blend of heat and flavor. While strong enough to add heat you can feel, it also maintains a smoky and roasty flavor instead of the usual vinegar burn that is so common. The level of heat you can add with this sauce is incredible. Ranging from a few drops on a pizza slice (perfect for me, just a bit above Sriracha in heat) to an entire teaspoon which will have you running for the milk jug. Great all around sauce. * SIDE NOTE *: I also tried the Blair's Mega Death sauce because I wanted something that would add heat to the level of "melt your face off", but that stuff is just a bit too hot for me. 2 drops in a bowl of soup or pasta is really hot, anything more and I have to throw it out.

The original, and still one of the best!
I Love this sauce! True it’s not flaming hot, but I have found it to be my favorite in taste across the whole Blair's lineup or any other. I love buying all different brands & types of sauces but always come back to this in the end. It goes perfect on pretty much everything - eggs, hot dogs / burgers, chili, soup, etc... If you like more heat After Death sauce might be better for you, although I don't enjoy the taste anywhere near as much.

It is not the original formula. It's too thick.
Not the same as the original, so I wonder if it's really made by Blair's or if it's a copy. When I first used this sauce back in the 1990s, before Chipotle was even founded. The flavor is good, but it's thick like ketchup now. It used to be a smooth liquid hot sauce that I could put drops at a time in V8 to make it extra spicy. Only giving 3-stars because of the consistency, which prevents me from using it how I used to. It's supposed to be the consistency of regular hot sauces like Louisiana Hot Sauce.
