I’ve bought this NORPRO jar opener twice—once for myself and once for my mom. Not because it wears out, but because I accidentally tossed mine and instantly missed it. It’s not just for jars—I use it to peel back deli packaging and anything else that needs a strong grip. It’s the best one I’ve ever used. LOVE these heavy duty jar grips. Nothing worse than struggling with a tight jar lid..these do the trick. Even for older, arthritic hands. Also very handy for odd jobs or slippery tools. Work great with tools like screwdriver or wrenches! Makes handheld tools easy to grip. Thickness is a bonus as other grippers are thin and may tear. Not these! Perfect for every use.

I have advanced Dupuytren Contracture (especially in my left hand) which makes gripping anything with any success nearly impossible, but this non-slip rubber doodad can get a jar open for me almost 100% of the time. Occasionally I have to hold the top part of the jar under very hot water for a minute or two and then try the jar opener again, but that does the trick every time! I hear the seal on the jar POP and then it opens very easily. This is a great fix for a very common problem and I would definitely recommend one of these to anyone with Dupuytren’s, arthritis, or any hand weakness.

Works very well, even on smaller lids, like juice jugs and olive oil bottles. Very pleased!

Well-priced. Ordered two. Using both, they work pretty well to open jars. Good grip. The material is a little bit too firm and not sticky enough for arthritic hands. Much better than nothing, but could be thinner more flexible material.

Easy to use and helps with opening jars. Good price and quality product.
