I believe it is Humane you don't have to use the shock, but if the shock is what it takes to let her know where is safe, I found nothing wrong with it. And now it's wonderful we are at the point where she doesn't need the shock she knows where the boundary is and we are finally able to enjoy our dogs!

I haven't used the product yet. I'm hoping the insulation is of a better quality than some of the past boundary wire I've used in the past.

Had no instructions as how to use them properly. Some were larger than I expected. But very useful for out door use.
