Life changing device!
Why did it take me soooo long to hear about this!??Living in a large, brick home that has a FIOS modem & router on one end of it and attempting to use a range extender for streaming at the other end of it was NOT working. At. All.Then the old COAX "cable boxes" get shut down and replaced with wireless devices. Which meant attempting to relocate the modem and router (and crawling under a 30 year old house to drill holes for new wires...NO THANK YOU).My son came home from college & said MoCA was the answer. So I delved into the world of MoCA.1. The new Verizon Fios routers ARE compatable. There seemed to be alot of yes/no discussion around this.2. You only need 1 box if your router is compatible. The set up was very simple. Coax line in wall. Box. TV. My son said something about direct connecting to ethernet for gaming speeds (which he uses when home), but that means nothing to me. I now can stream movies/TV with no lag, freezing, buffering or Interruption. Yay!And I know it saved me upwards of $800 by not having to have someone come run new lines throughout my house.

Works with FiOS!
I have recently purchased this as I was doing a full reinstall of my Verizon FiOS and removing their Router. I needed this to pair with my newly purchased router as I still have FiOS TV and this works beautifully. Yes, the newer Verizon routers are MoCa 2.5 and this is a 2.0, but it still provides the full bandwidth for the boxes to work. The installation is also relatively easy and straightforward. Highly recommend!

Excellent Performance on Existing Coax
Update. I bought more moca adapters and now have a 1 to 4 moca setup (one at the router, 4 connections to APs throughout the house. This has fixed my WiFi problems, since now all those “mesh” APs have good signal going in. Easily getting 200-300 mbps on WiFi throughout the house.Previous Review: I used an 8 way splitter, replacing the old one that only worked up to 900Mhz with one designed to work with Moca. That’s it. That’s the only real thing I installed, because this friggin awesome product works well over 25+ year old coax buried in my walls.I can’t speak for 1gps+ speeds, my service is only 500mbps. But with just a mesh router system, I wasn’t seeing anywhere near that except at the router. Now I see 500mbps at points throughout my house (with obvious degradation the further you get from an AP). Wired it’s perfect. This is an incredible product. I was skeptical since I had tried other things, mesh routers, Ethernet over power line, that boasted high speeds. Everything else didn’t cut it. This product. Worth the money.

They work. Good for places where cable is already run.
These things work right out of the box. No fussing around with software or setup or special nonsense. Plug each end into your cable feed in some Ethernet and you have a hard line to somewhere. Pricey but worth it!

Life Savers
We moved into a new build and I noticed that they didn’t run any low voltage Ethernet - only coax - as if we were moving into a new 1990’s hope. I was super annoyed, because WiFi is good, but can only deliver mediocre results. I discovered these online and realized I should give it a try.To my delight, these things work amazingly well - and you learn how to terminate coax cable correctly in the meantime. Once I had everything done, it lit up immediately and has been giving me 1GB speeds at each end point. I tied that into my existing gigabit netowrk and my network connectivity problems were solved. They have been working for 4+ mths and I am so happy I have them. Will buy more when we build an office and second garage. Would recommend!

Do not buy!
Unless you have two coaxial systems in your house, this useless product will not work. Customer service was friendly but could not address false advertising. They also kept insisting that I needed to follow the Quick Installation Guide which was a joke as they show internet service coming into the house through the air! This internet signal enters the house by magic. Then you capture that signal somehow and connect it to a router. Once you have achieved this feat, you are all set because now you can connect the router to the adapter and then connect a coaxial cable from the adapter to an unused coaxial port. Now don’t forget that this port is unused because you don’t need it to bring the internet cable into the house because you previously magically got that signal through the air. Using a cable splitter does NOT work. Two Trendset reps finally told me to just connect the two adapters to each other completely bypassing the entire coaxial system in my house!!I got a comcast tech to come and he could not do anything. He said that if one does not have two coaxial systems say one was used for cable and another was used for a satellite dish, then the adapters will not work. Or you pay someone to run another coaxial wire through the walls of your house to connect two rooms. I wasted many hours trying to make this useless adapter work including watching various how to videos. Needless to say I am returning this terrible product including all the various coaxial and Ethernet cables that I had to buy separately as no cables were included in the box! Who needs cables when you can get high speed internet through the air?

Easy setup, fast speeds! Perfect replacement!
I have been using an old Actiontec Fios router that I was using as a MOCA bridge that was a pain to set up a decade ago. I've always felt like it could be faster and looked into it and found it couldn't keep up with my current Gig speed internet but put off changing it out in fear the new solution would be another pain and maybe not even work as I expected.I was so wrong. This was super easy to install! I unplugged the old router and attached the Trendnet adapter and it just worked straight out of the box! No IP configs, no bridging, nothing. Plug and play. And it's way smaller!I tested the speeds throughout the day today with the old router and was getting about 151 down / 130 up all day. The new router gave me instant upgrade to 779 down/ 415 up!!Cannot recommend this product enough. Hope it lasts forever!
