excellent taste and texture, high quality trusted brand, very little excess liquid, YUM
Excellent brand. My go to when I want (and can afford) high quality. I try to shop sales, which I was able to do with this. No salt is my fave, but the kinds with added salt are less pricy. I do not rate on price as we can all see the price (and make decision) before ordering, we all have different budgets, needs, and preferences, and prices fluctuate or there are sales. Just know that it is a pricy brand no matter where it is purchases. Product stays the same, so that is what I rate on.Good looking tuna with very little excess "juice". Pretty good-sized flakes of firm texture, some smaller softer pieces peppered throughout. Really good mouth feel. It has a nice chew. Not all that fishy tasting or smelling. Definitely noticeable over regular tuna. I actually like both, so albacore isnt a must have for me. But its nice when I want a mild tuna flavor. Doesnt have a that "canned" taste either.I could eat this every day. MmmmmI love it as a quick meal mixed with a little mayo (since there is really no liquid to drain, I dont. Then it allows me to use less mayo to make it wet) and I add in crushed pepper, dried Kale, and parsley. I eat it as is, or grab a stack of mini spicy tortillas and eat it with that. I' not on a diet (though should be) and definitely not keto or low carb or whatever, but I love these tortillas as they are super low in calories, high in fiber, and ultra low carb (compared to a regular tortilla)

Crown Prince Abacore Tuna
I have been ordering low mercury tuna from Amazon for some time. The last time I ran out, Amazon was not selling the brand I was buying (wild planet) so I looked for alternatives.I could not really find an alternative on Amazon.com that actually identified itself as "low mercury." Low mercury tuna that I could find outside Amazon.com is very expensive plus you have to pay shipping. One brand that Amazon does sell - Crown Prince - says that their tuna is Dolphin-safe and line caught. Usually, the line-caught and troll-caught tuna from the Pacific Ocean is lower in Mercury than the typical tuna you find from brands like Starkist and Chicken-of-the-Sea. I also read a story recently that the high amount of selenium in tuna actually helps bind with mercury in tuna to negate its effects.According to several articles I found, the interactions between dietary selenium and mercury are now the topic of exciting new research. Some of those studies were presented at a recent scientific meeting dedicated to the subject. The First International Symposium on Selenium and Mercury Interactions, was held February 22-24, 2007 in La Jolla, California. The symposium assembled scientists from the US, Japan, Spain, Ireland, Slowenia, Denmark and elsewhere to share information on selenium and mercury interactions and health effects.Of particular interest was a paper given by Dr. Nicholas Ralston of the Energy and Environmental Research Center in North Dakota on the biochemical basis of selenium's protective effects on mercury toxicity. Selenium has an extremely high binding attraction and strength with mercury, forming a biologically inactive compound, mercury selenide. But how much selenium is in tuna? All tuna species sampled, including bigeye, yellowfin, albacore and skipjack contained a healthy excess of selenium over the mercury content. For this reason, eating tuna, an excellent source of selenium, is more likely to protect against mercury toxicity, than cause it.So, that was enough for me to give this tuna a try. From Amazon, it comes in a 12-pack case with free shipping. The price per can is very good. The tuna tastes great and the 12-oz can is a good size for me and my wife who like to mix it with low fat miracle whip, mustard, chopped onions, and green & red peppers and eat it with corn chips or make paninis. This is good quality tuna and worth stocking in your pantry.

Solid tuna
I just placed my second order as soon as I finished my first can. It was that good. Priced great too. No fishy taste. Not mushy at all. Nice solid whole pieces inside. I will post a picture of the next shipment review so you can see for yourself.*Came here to buy a 3rd time but the price has more than doubled. I have to pass. I will check back another time. It’s my favorite tuna.

Favorite tuna, when the price isn't ridiculous.
I really like this tuna, particularly because the very low sodium means that I can give the water to our cats as a treat instead of just tossing it. It tastes great and has a really nice consistency. Only issue is that I've had to cancel my subscription to this item a couple times because specific sellers keep trying to tack $10-20 dollars onto an item that should cost around $25.

9 of 12 cans dented.
This is a big irritation for me...if I buy the product in a store I’m not going take home any dented cans, why should it be any different if I buy online? I am often paying a premium for canned products online already and I feel that I should get what I would choose in-store. Nine of the twelve cans in the box are dented and they were packaged that way. It’s an Amazon thing because the canned tomatoes I ordered a while back were the same way.As for the tuna, it’s good. I prefer Tongol for the satisfaction of knowing I’m avoiding as many heavy metals as possible but it’s hard to find. This brand is my second favorite for quality and price with the Tongol tuna from H-E-B being my first choice. But I don’t live near an H-E-B anymore and none of my local stores even carry Tongol so I guess this is my only option. I would like to see Amazon clean up their act regarding the dented cans though! Or offer a discounted price if you knowingly order them that way.

really good tuna
I bought it because I got a good price on a case of it but I really appreciate that it's better quality than the tuna I usually buy at the grocery store and they actually give you a full packed can of tuna (unlike the brands commonly sold at the grocery store).
