I bake a lot and love having multiple sets of measuring spoons. I inherited my MIL's expensive set she bought years ago. I have loved those stupid spoons! I have 4 other sets that are nice but just not the same as the "expensive" set. A few weeks ago I heard a horrible metallic grinding noise followed by a string of creative curses. I ran to the sight of the unfolding tragedy and found my husband holding a bent and mangled teaspoon he had tortured in the garbage disposal. I shrieked. Kids (who are adults) came running. They saw the evidence and gasped in unison, "Is that from grandma's EXPENSIVE set!?!?" Dear readers, it was. My kids understood the magnitude of the scene because they also bake. I am not ashamed to say that I cried. My studio arts major who loves sculpture reverently took charge of the remains and promised the teaspoon's death would not be in vain--it will be incorporated into a sculpture and live on in a new form. While this brought me a great deal of joy, every time I went to bake the missing teaspoon was noticed and mourned. You really don't realize how much you use something until it is no longer here. I decided to simply buy the cheapest set I could find because I just wasn't ready to commit to finding the perfect replacement. Also, we all know that cheap things you aren't attached to don't end up in the disposal...they live forever and you don't ever get to replace them. They linger in their mediocrity and taunt you with their lack of aesthetic. So, after weeks of missing the teaspoon every time I opened the drawer, I ordered this set. Dear reader, it is as if my MIL's set was magically made whole again. The kids both asked how much I spent. They could not believe that this set wasn't from an expensive kitchen store! I love this set and am buying each kiddo a set! These spoons stack beautifully. They are easy to use and have smooth edges. They are easily cleaned in the dishwasher (please note that I removed the ring). These have not rusted. They are the perfect size and feel amazing in my hand. Everyone who cooks in my kitchen loves them. They are the perfect blend of form and function. The markings are engraved so they won't rub off and are easy to read. These are the measuring spoons I wanted and lucked into purchasing. They make me smile and brings a spark of joy into my kitchen. Splurge and enjoy! Also, please think about buying a mesh guard to protect small items from falling to their death in the disposal.

Great quality and precise!!! Now I won't have to guess, these will last forever, I hope!

These are a better quality material that I expected for the price. They have all the sizes I needed and they have a great design. Etched markings don't wear off so that's a plus.

The edges in these are very sharp like you can almost cut yourself but I do like them.
