We love Carcassonne and love the expansion, mostly for the extra pieces, but the expansion is fun too!

This was a fun expansion. Really added a new perspective to the game. It was easy to set up and understand. Made the game a little more complex.

Great expansion. But definitely a friendship breaker. Hahaha.(not really) but can start some arguments if you play like a jerk. You can adjust the rules to your own liking.

This expansion is perfect! It gives the game a whole new type of strategy and takes a lot of luck out of the game and turns it into more of a chess match and less a game of candyland where you can win just by getting the correct pieces. If you already love the original but want to make it more competitive, I recommend this expansion wholeheartedly!

Carcassonne is an AWESOME GAME! The expansions, including these, do not included only a few tiles, but they add aspects to the game that are fun as well as give you that "lower the boom on your opponent" aspect. Now with that said, my wife and I do not like that aspect of the game, so we've changed it when playing it together -- we play cooperatively. Most all of the expansions, whether mini or other, are not meant to be played cooperatively, but with a little thought you can easily do so if you wish. This, to us, gives the game greater depth as we can play this way together and yet with others play the way the game was designed to be played. Either way, it is AWESOME!
