This is a good sturdy lamp. I bought one in black for my son-in-law's man cave and was so impressed that I bought a white one for my living room. I would heartily agree with another customer who recommended that it be assembled from the top down. I did the black one from the bottom and the white one from the top. No comparison. It was so much easier and took about a quarter of the time to assemble it from the top down.

This lamp overall doesn't look bad. It's white, shiny, aesthetically overall nice... Throws a good amount of light. However, it's not really anything I'd want in my living room or bedroom. It could work well for a kid's or teen's room. The deal breakers: I didn't realize it has pastic shades - not obvious in the photos but noted in fine print but it definitely adds to how cheap it looks. This element coupled with the stickers warrning of a fire risk and need to use very specific light bulbs doesn't sit well with me. Seems worth paying a little more money for something better quality.
