Purchased to keep binoculars clean. Perfect for eliminating dust, small particles and water spots.

Used for months. Its held up. Decent quality. I wish the cap snapped on but it still works. It cleans pretty well and does remove most if not all smudges in my optics.

I know it's just a cleaning pen and I've had 50 like it before/still do have many -- It's just that over the past 6 years since I bought my first vortex scope and became a mega fan - literally endorsing them to everyone I know and do business with (as a gunsmith no less) not to mention watching as they have rose up in the ranks, and price - gaining military contracts, SWAT team endorsements, pro hunter and pro shooters alike with their own endorsements-- it's become apparent to me, that the once Up and comer has done hopped in a rocket ship and blasted off to the top of the world with gen 3 scopes starting at $4000 yet still appealing to the entire spectrum with a price point at a theater near you, playing every day and night. Just grab some popcorn, and your wallet, and come on down. Yet, I buy a Vortex lens cleaning pen instead of the lesser priced competition, expecting...More! Not a reversible end that doesn't stay in the very cheap plastic - but rather falls out when you are using the brush instead. Or - I don't know, maybe just MAYBE a few more applications with the mini (triangle) cleaner tip before its' destroyed- worn down too much to dare put on the glass of anything - except for maybe my whiskey sipping glass... (⁠◠⁠‿⁠◕⁠) Else wise- it's ok. It works while it lasts. It's versatile while it lasts. It's not overwhelmingly durable as you might have picked up on my the way I have eluded to such a thing as that may be... I don't know if I would recommend it -- it's been a while since I bought it and I have not looked at the competition or any prices in the duration since I bought this..

Simple but effective. Didn't know just how dirty my bino lenses were until I used this.

Excellent to have on hand, in a field jacket pocket, or a small kit bag to throw into larger bags on the go!

Does a great job of keeping my vortex red dot smudge free.

I can see an improvement after I use it, but even if I try several times in a row, I can't seem to fully get rid of streaks and smudges. Also the retractable brush would be better with some kind of cap to close it off. It is supposed to be kept clean - (don't touch it with fingers!) - but if thrown into a backpack or any kind of case, it is going to get dirt and stuff down into the opening. Using this tool is better than just using the cloth that comes with the binoculars, but I was expecting more.

When I received the pen, and after first using the brush as instructed, I uncapped the other end. As described by many, I saw what I thought was the cleaning tip, a foam or sponge ball-like pad that seemed glued to a flat holder. First time I touched it to the lens, however, the ball fell off. Many have described this. But here's the thing: As is clear in the pictures, the foam ball is ~not~ the cleaning tip, and it's not supposed to be glued to the flat rubber 'holder'. Instead, the flat rubber holder is the cleaning tip. The foam pad is the replenisher, meant to refresh the cleaning tip every time the pen is recapped. The only problem is that sometimes the foam pad can come out of the cap. But just push it back in and close the cap on the pen tightly. I did this and the ball has never fallen out again. This is a decent product. Enjoy it. The rubber tip works nicely to remove smudges and grease from the lens. Just remember to use the brush first to remove dust.

Idea fantastica, anche perché prodotto da Vortex. Ma il risultato è deludente. Prodotto vecchio di magazzino, si vede benissimo anche dalla confezione. Consiglio, rinnovate l'approvvigionamento.
