Outlasts the competition, hands down!
So far this has worked great and I love the color! I have a huge Scrapbook project coming up where I plan to use this to outline all the edges of everything so if it's still going strong or if it dies halfway through the project, I will put in an update. I'll be especially impressed if it lasts since a project very similar to this one I ended up going through about 5 or 6 of the gold paint pens you get at JoAnn's. ***Update- this pen lasted the entire time while making my 80 page scrapbook, and I used it one every single page and I'm still using it on misc. projects. This has far outlasted any of the dozen Uchida brand markers I have bought, used for ridiculously short periods, and then thrown away! Hope this helps in making your decision!

Great gold markers
These markers are awesome! The order arrived in perfect condition, and each marker is individually wrapped. The markers can be used on a lot of surfaces and have a great metallic gold color to them. I buy these in bulk because I use them for my business, and it's way cheaper to buy them here in bulk than individually at the store.

Use to write names on gifts, It works fine.
I used it to write names on gifts; it worked fine after priming the pen. I should have paid more attention and bought small-points. Whats with the drawing on rocks?

Okay pen
In terms of gold it definitely haves a nice shine to it and is easy to apply to items, just a simple shake and apply. My only complaint would be that the gold can scratch off, rub off, or rub on to other items. This item works best on paper and would be unadvised to apply on plastics or forms unless some sort of gloss or finish is applied.

Wrote great on plastic
I bought this to write on some little plastic trophies for a game night. It wrote well on the smooth plastic and dried quickly. Although I could scrape it off with my fingernail it didn't smudge.

It Really Works!
I bought this gold pen to cover over the silver bits on a purse that I wanted to make matte gold. The paint in the pen flowed out quite nicely, without globbing or gushing. It was a slow process, because there was so much silver hardware on the purse, but I did the project in stages. If you are doing a small bit on something, say buttons, it would be lightning fast. The paint was dry to the touch within 5-20 minutes, but I didn't use the purse until a full 24 hours had passed. I don't know how long the paint will hold up on something that gets a lot of wear and movement, but so far, so good. The pen was a medium point, and for some of the smaller crevices, it would have been nice to have a finer point(which they do make). There's still a lot of paint left in the pen, so I feel like I got my money's worth. Happy with the results.

I'd get this paint pen again.
I use this in combination with sealing wax to mark the bottles of mead and fruit wine that I make. After feeling like an idiot and figuring out how to get the paint into the tip (I just had to press down firmly for a few seconds), it started working great! Very easy to mark on the wax, I don't have to go over it twice. Dries fairly quickly for oil based paint. Has a nice gold shimmer which goes well with the metallic sealing wax. I think it looks rather nice finished.
