It is ok but feels like it was used…

Absolutely the best! Since finding Hayabusa and trying them out, we've realized that they are top notch and they make excellent products. Well made, durable, and most of all they do exactly what they're supposed to do. Safety is definitely number one and in my opinion they have exceeded that. Bought this headgear for my son. He didn't have a sparring partner one day and coach put him up against someone two weight classes ahead of him. The other forgot to pump his brakes on a couple good punches and knocked my boy across the ring and into the ropes. I asked my son if he was ok and he said "the headgear works! It works really well! I felt it, but it didn't hurt!" I was definitely relieved to know that it worked and beyond my expectations. Now we only buy Hayabusa products. A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it to know that my son's safety is their top priority.

My head is 56cm, and I ordered M, but it still fits too big even after all adjustments. The piece of velcro on the back goes all the way down to my neck (in order to be snug), and irritates the skin. The inside matterial is very slippery, and makes the guard rottating on my head like crazy, even without sweat. There is virtually no protection: the padding is very thin, and cheeck protectors protect nothing - even a slightest punch will hit your nouse and even eyes. To summarize: this is the worst headguard I ever tried! Even the chippest chinese products are much better than this expensive one. Their gloves may be great, but their headguard is a joke!

My son is new to boxing and at times struggles with headgear bothering him. I noticed his first time in the Hayabusa that he did not fidget with it at all. Was great to see. We both would highly recommend this headgear. Also very light weight and great looking as an extra. Only thing that I would recommend to change is the downward strap on the back has to be folded under to prevent it from running on your neck. Tucking it works fine so it’s a ver trivial issue.
