Xbox Series S – Fortnite & Rocket League Bundle

Great console does everything I could ask and is very easy to travel with.

Bought 3 years ago and its still going strong

Honestly, i think the Series S is a superb/great console. Only two cons, cost of external plug-in drive to overcome seriously ludicrous limited memory capacity (no excuse for not having 1TB in S and 2TB in X in modern day) AND its gameplay speed (Series S n Series X) is really not THAT much better than xbox one x. Aside from faster load times, I really dont see a major difference in performance in series s and an ssd equipped one x. Xbox series x is also not all that without 4k tv n, even with the fancy new tv, its really not that super-impressive. If i had it to do over again, aside from the series x as a surprise gift, i’d have been happy with the Series S and 1tb plug-in drive. Seagate, i think? BUT, aside from moderately faster load times, without games written specifically for these 2 new console iterations, just put an ssd in your xbox one x and keep running it until you HAVE to change up. Maybe the plug in ssd will be more affordable then and id say do that with a series s n enjoy it. To do it again? Id just keep jamming w my one x with high speed ssd. Unfortunately, im prolly giving mine to one of my Destiny clanmates who seriously needs a new console. He sherpas lfg alot of people (looking for game) through raids (like me n i super suck) so its a good cause. I'm on an xbox series x which i got from my sister as a surprise gift. Between series S and X? I’d go with Series S and 1tb expansion card n give my one x to my clanmate. Save the stress n cash n skip the Series X. Use that cash to get a 20th Anniversary or Series 2 Elite Controller to go with your new sweet Series S. Or, put it towards the memory expansion card. Since I've played all 3 n switched back n forth over the last month, i thought I’d share my wisdom. Good luck with your decision n remember, as always, ymmv.

This was a surprise Christmas gift for my kids and they loved it.

It came with everything as advertised and works perfectly. Have played a lot of games on it already :). If anyone that bought this is confused how to claim the bundles for Fortnite and Rocket League, they don’t come in a code. What you have to do is: 1. Turn on the Xbox 2. Sign into the profile you want the redeemed items to go onto, you can only do it one time so if you mess up there isn’t any going back. 3. Go to Settings then go to General. 4. Select Included with this Xbox (it should say something like that) 5. Select claim on the Fortnite part of the bundle and the Rocket League part of the bundle. Then, all you gotta do is download Fortnite and Rocket Leagye and go on then the items should be in your locker/garage. If it doesn’t show up but you claimed it, completely restart your console. Don’t turn it off and turn it back on but actually go to where it says restart console and actually click it. That trick worked for me.

My partner and I decided to get my step son this Xbox for Christmas (I know its early for Christmas shopping but I plan ahead). I was so excited to get this in and upon opening it found that the box has already been through some crap. With a slice up the front of the box (which as you can see wouldn't happen from me opening my amazon box from the placement and direction) along with dings everywhere and rips on the top front and bottom back of the box. I'm already very disappointed as I purchased a NEW PRODUCT not a renewed, not a used anything but A NEW XBOX. That being said I will wait until my partner comes home so he can test it and see if it still works properly. But this little boy deserves the joy of seeing a brand new untouched box that he gets to open up Christmas morning! Not a messed up box that looks like it was dropped at every turn. That being said I'll update once we test it and make sure they didn't sell me a broken product and if it does work obviously it'll get 4 stars. Just wish I hadn't been the exception to the rule and gotten one of the messed up ones... UPDATE: We've tested it and it does work!!! So thankfully it was just the box that was all messed up!! We decided we won't give it to him in its original packaging as it looks horrible but so long as it works that all that matters!

I think you're a serious gamer this probably isn't the console for you. The series x or PS5 have more power and can run more games at a higher frame rate and at 4k resolutions. With that being said the series s is mostly a gamepass access device. And I think for $300 it offers great value especially when paired with game pass give you access to hundreds of different games. As for performance it's still "next gen" and several games support 120 FPS. If you do have some old titles in your library for example Grand theft Auto V you can now play those at 60 FPS instead of the 30 the original Xbox One played at. I think in a few years this console will likely be outdated in terms of performance. that's just the nature of mid level hardware and the console product life cycle. However as mentioned $300 puts you at a great price point. And considering the alternatives are significantly over MSRP and PC gaming hardware essentially starts at $800 on the second hand market picking one of these up can be a great choice for gaming over the next few years! Also don't forget this is digital games only no DVDs so old Xbox games you may have purchase DVDs for cannot be played on this console. But games you have previously purchased digitally can be brought over to this console and be played no problem.

I used the Xbox Series S for about a year after selling my PC to pay for school. It wasn’t terrible and definitely got me back into gaming, but the experience had its downsides. Some games had noticeable frame drops, even ones that shouldn’t have struggled, like Dead by Daylight and Warhammer 40k: Boltgun. While it served its purpose, if I had to do it over again, I’d go with a PS5 instead. Solid as I had finally had the money to build a new PC.

Great console for the price

Bonne console si vous ne jouez pas trop souvent et ne voulez pas dépenser des centaines dans un bon ordi ou une séries X / PS5. Le fait qu’il n’y ai pas de lecteur CD vous oblige à passer par le Microsoft store pour les jeux, mais de très bonnes réductions y sont présentes (surtout pendant le temps des fêtes!). De plus le Xbox Game Pass est très intéressant, la version ultimate, en plus de toute une libraire complète permet de jouer aux jeux sans même les installer en quelques secondes ! Pour résumer, très bonne console, limitée niveau graphique par rapport à une X mais très satisfaisant pour un casual gamer. Attention a avoir une bonne connexion pour l’avoir, sinon les temps de téléchargement seront longs.

I bought this console cause wanted to upgrade from the Xbox One S, I didnt really think of any vast improvements since this is the cheaper of the two new gen xboxs but I was wrong. I'm so glad I bought this, loading times and the quick resume features are the best thing aside form the graphics and new games that are out for it. I wasnt really too worried about the system having a disc tray since we are now mostly a digital world. I may upgrade to the Series X later down the road but for now, this is more than enough!
