They are made of wood with a foam layer.

These have a pretty thick cushion and they are angled (wedges). I'm not sure they will give you the pressure you need. These are primarily used to laying on.

Q: Can these be packed in luggage for travel? What do they weigh?

They are very light, made of foam and covered with vinyl kind of bulky to pack. They will take up valuable space in luggage.
