Well made, was compatible with old valve
I bought this valve to replace an old valve under my kitchen sink that was stuck and would no longer turn. The old valve was installed on 1/2 inch copper pipe. I was able to remove the old valve and leave the large nut and brass ferrule from the old valve on the copper pipe, and install the new valve onto the pipe by re-using the nut and ferrule from the old valve. This saved me from having to cut off the copper line (which was very short and would not have been easily done.) The threads and size on the nut from the old valve was identical to the nut on the new valve so it bolted right up, and saved me a lot of work. It did leak a drop now and then after installation, I was able to loosen and rotate the valve several times and re-tighten it, and the leak stopped. It was a small leak, one drop every few minutes. Now it doesn't leak at all. It had been leaking around the ferrule and was likely due to the fact that I re-used the old ferrule. So far it has worked great, the valve is a quarter-turn type valve and is easy to turn. The threads on the outlet of the valve were compatible with the line for the faucet with no adapters needed.
