SR Flex Shaft, 115v 1/6 hp 18,000 Max. RPM

It's a Foredom flex shaft, what more can I say? The last one lasted for many years, but I finally had to replace it and this is the best value I can think of.

I bought this to replace/supplement my 30+ year old Dremel 732 - so glad I did! While not specified as a soft start motor, it seems to have a softer start than my Dremel 732 flex shaft, which helps in maintaining control. I bought this without a speed control as I have control units that I like that are not foot pedal based. This motor, with the H.30 handpiece, are an unbeatable combination.

Used for cyl head porting.. motor is heavy enough to create a "flywheel " effect, making a robust grinder in heavy material removal. The TX version is intended for porting, having more power, but with less rpm than the SR series. Makes my previous grinder (Dremel 730) feel like a toy.

This Fordham unit runs really smooth! It has a nice manual and a full color photo list of replacement parts. It is always a good idea to have a spare set of internal brushes and some of the grease on hand

I purchased a Fordom Flexable Shaft motor here. When it arrived, it was missing the speed control (foot pedal). The motor is useless without the controller. I contacted the manufacturer, who said they were not responsible since I did not order it directly from them. Then I looked on the box and found the company name that and address that sent it to me (Vintage Machinery). They had no phone number and required that I leave a message on their website. The next day I received an answer: From Vintage Machinery "There are thousands of manufacturers listed on our site and we do not represent any of them, nor do we sell anything so you definitely did not order parts from us."
