These are a bit more "fluffy" than they look, and feel like a faux fur rather than a short hair genuine fur leather strip? If that makes sense. Feels like the hairs could fray and pull over time, but absolutely worth the price and made the recurve wayyyy more silent. These are easy to apply and work well. I keep some of these and some alcohol pads in my bow case. Just wipe off the limb tip with alcohol and then apply the silencer. It's a bit of a pain to remove the backing, but I think that's more of a fat finger issue on my part and not a problem with the product. I've given some out to friends and they love them too.

These recurve bow limb silencers do their job very well, quietening the bow. Use these with caution on the Hermit x10 recurve bow, since they are very thick. This bow has string grooves on it's limbs, where the bowstring contacts the limb ends, which are needed, especially when stringing the bow. These silencers are thick enough to completely block the string grooves from doing their job, almost allowing the limbs to twist, and possibly get damaged. As replacement limbs on this model cost over $200, that's not a chance I'm willing to take again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Took out a ton of the string slapping noise. Have held up to about 1k shots so far. Highly recommend.

Anything from Shatterproof is going to be just fine, we're big fans! Great product, the adhesive is stout, and they went on my wife's recurve easily and made a difference in the noise her bow made immediately. If you're going to get a set, this is the best store to get anything Archery from and we love his youtube channel!

The quality of this product seems very good. It feels really nice to the touch. However, the reduction in sound on a 50# Bear Super Grizzly was not very much. I’ll keep them on because it does reduce the sound a bit but I wish it was more.

Product as advertised. 3M tape holds firm, and helped silence string slap. Would purchase again.

Pads adhered to the limbs well. They made quite a difference on my lever action bow, and reduced the noise on my recurve crossbow. They've held up well to a lot of shooting.

These have definitely helped reduce the noise on my recurve. Was previously running two sets of string silencers, but this, in conjunction with a set of beaver silencers seems to do the trick ...not silent, but my best result yet. High quality. Have had them on for approximately 1000 shots and haven't noticed any deterioration.
