Can you remove the hook to stand the light on a table?

You can’t remove the hook, but you can fold it, and it does stand on a table.

does this include batteries?

Yes! :) They worked great on my camping trip. Had them on for hours each night and never had to change the batteries.

How do you switch between high and low modes?

There’s a button on the colored part, you click it a few times to change the color and intensity!

Where can I get a replacement for the battery holder?

Not sure that you can. These light are cheap enough, just replace the entire light. You realize that the battery holder is reusable, right?
