Very Satisfied!
First, a little info as to how we are using this: we have well water so I installed a whole house sediment filter prior to my water softener (WS). The WS has a 'salt saver' setting, which means that the recharge uses a lot less salt in the process but also has less effectiveness and must be recharged more often, usually after about 7 days. I installed this unit on the pipe coming out of the WS. We've had it for two weeks and this is the result; literally, on the first day, we noticed that a lot less hand soap was needed. After several days, my wife (who is very picky) said that she is using less than HALF of the amount of laundry soap that she was using before. After 11 days, I did a recharge on the WS even though I didn't think I needed it. In spite of having a whole house sediment filter, we always got rust stains in the water closets of our toilets. I checked this the other day and found that the stains are gone, so I'd have to believe that this unit is also 'cleaning' out the rest or our plumbing, including the hot water tank. It is hard to impress me, but this has done the trick. I'm seriously thinking that when the day comes to replace the WS, I will just add another filter and skip the WS, which would be a huge savings. In all, this is a very effective product that really worked for me.

No more calcium sediment buildup
This thing is great! I have had it running on my water pipe for nearly a year now. Performs exactly like it says, first week or so water feels different. Then I saw less buildup on faucets, shower. The ultimate test was a toilet that would get a calcium ring. That's gone now. Here's the thing, it does have quiet a few exceptions in the literature like too much iron or minerals and to do a water test. I thought I got this for like $30. Figured give it a try, no water test. For me and the horrible river water that my water company pulls from, this has worked miracles!

Very Effective
I like how easy it was to install. All you need is an outlet near point of installation. I saw significant improvement in our water within the 1st 2 weeks. I don't have any water softener or filtering system for our well water. We have very sandy soil and not much iron in our water. We did however have a lot of lime scale build up showing on our toilet bowls and sink surfaces. This product eliminates that build up almost entirely, and whatever does build up now, easily cleans off instead of having to scrub.

Works better than I had even hoped.
I am very happy with this. I've been looking at a brand name of this product for a couple of years. I bought this one based mostly on price. The way these are supposed to work, I figured price point would be less of a factor. How they work to soften water sounded interesting. I got mine March 11 2026. I let it sit for 2 days until I had time to mess with it. I allowed for an hour to figure out what I was doing. The instructions were short and clear. And, most of the install was as easy as the paper said. The hard part was, as I was wrapping the wire around the pipe it was a confined area and everytime I reset my hands the wire loosened and caused knots I can't explain. Do yourself a favor and grab a long clip or some tape while wrapping. Even with the minor issue, I had it installed in 30 minutes. Although Mom would not have been pleased with some of the language I used. It lit up as soon as I plugged it in. I knew that it was doing "something". One of the supposed benefits is supposed to be a slow reduction of the white scale around faucets, spout tips and spray heads that clogs flow and shoots the spray at odd angles. The various videos I've watched suggested I should see a difference in 4 to 6 weeks. On the 20th I had friends over and I noticed the rim of my kitchen faucet had no white chunks or even the common line. At the base of the faucet, I ran my fingernail across the noticeably thinner scale and it came off in flakes! It left a shiny surface below. The spray flow in both kitchen and bath have straighter and stronger streams. And my hair rinsed better. I'm shocked! And very happy. I wasn't expecting this much and certainly not this soon. Its only been 10 days now and I would say totally worth it. On the 20th

Not sure it works as stated
Power usage: I measured mine with a kilowatt meter and it only showed 2 watts max. I'm not sure it's doing anything since the transformer specs say 0.3 amps. If you multiply this by 120 vols it's about 36 watts. I assume it uses less watts than this. I read somewhere it cost $0.36 to run a month. The lights on mine work when plugged in. I measured several things in the past with the kilowatt meter and it works fine but on low power consumption at around 2 watts it may not be that accurate. However, if some has a different experience someone please comment and let me know. What is inside: I opened the box to make sure things were connected properly. The connections were fine but all I saw was a circuit board and an attached board for the light output display. Install: My water was flowing from right to left. I wrapped the wire as instructed when going this way. If the water flowed left to right then the wrap is different. Pay particular attention to the winding directions in the instructions.

I have a sandpoint well with an elevated calcium content. The level wasn't drastically high but enough that once a week a quick scrub of the toilet bowl was needed. Dishes were always clean but had a chalky feeling to it. I first conducted the soap in a bottle test to see how much suds I had and then installed the descaler. Installation was straight forward and easy. I let the water pump cycle and then filled the water bottle again with a drop of dish soap, over a 50% increase in suds. It has now been over 2 weeks and the water keeps improving, less scale in the toilet and a marketable change in the surface feeling of dishes and glasses out of the dishwasher. So far I am impressed with the results.
