First one had several cracks in the center of the blade extremely unsafe the second one for whatever reason is extremely greasy all over but also has some cracks in the center of the blade so I cannot recommend that anyone uses this knife as a survival tool or even a hard labor tool this is basically going to just be a very nice display piece or something that you would use in a very minor way opening boxes or packages maybe if you're desperate a self-defense tool but keep in mind the craftsmanship seems to be shotty at best and you might just be better off with a large Rock instead I'm not saying this to be mean to the company I'm saying this as a person who has received two different knives from this company and both of them have a very dangerous flaw in the making of the blade a crack in the center of the blade is extremely unsafe so to rely on it in any serious way would be virtually suicidal if you like to hike or hunt or do any survival activities do not purchase this knife anything other than what I listed it for sure why not I wouldn't recommend it but as long as it's not too strenuous on the knife it should be fine
