Where your body does come in contact with the pack, ventilated foam and a tough mesh fabric help continue the flow of air, keeping you cooler, dryer, and more comfortable. Flex rods help distribute heavy loads.
STRONG & LIGHT - Ultralight Ripstop fabric is Badlands' go-to choice when reducing weight is your foremost concern, but you still need durability. Made from tough nylon fibers, it has an incredible strength-to-weight ratio. But we didn't stop there with the Dash. Badlands' C6 Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment doesn't allow moisture to seep into fabrics. Water beads and rolls off, keeping your gear dry, longer.
BELLS & WHISTLES - Why risk damaging your rifle or bow? Use the detachable Rifle/Bow Boot and the batwing straps on the back of your Badlands pack to securely carry your rifle or bow, hands-free. This pack has an integrated hip-belt pistol holster, easy access hip-belt pouches, stretch side pockets, and fits Badlands' 3L hydration reservoir.

A Great Comfortable Pack -Skip the Holster

this is my 2nd Badlands pack, my other is the Diablo, the 'suspension' pack back is the only way to go. the Diablo is larger with more cargo capacity and i wanted something small for day hiking. the 'Dash' is the smallest suspension pack i could find and the price is right. i originally had the 'Ultra Day' [discontinued] but it had problems with the zippers derailing. i sent it back to Badlands and they replaced it with the Diablo. the zippers seem better on the Dash. -NOTE- while i'm rating this pack an overall 5*, for what i bought it for, i do agree with 'NTODWILD', about the "holster" concept. they are not very good and do NOT buy this pack based on that feature. i've been licensed to carry for 20 years, a pack is NOT a holster. to carry properly and comfortably, takes effort and there's a reason why the basic 'thigh' carry is used in the military. get a dedicated holster and then flex your system well before you hit the trail. one idea is to take your pack to a gun show, walk around try different holsters with the pack. vendors are generally friendly to letting you see what fits. just be sure to buy it there, reward them, and not 'cheap-out' and head to the internet.

Lightweight, maybe too small for me.

Great lightweight pack, however it is smaller than what I wanted it for. I'm mostly taking this with me while predator hunting and wanted something to throw the call into, however the design of this pack will hold my call, but not much else. I can strap the call to the outside, but it's still a tight fit for whatever I have on the inside.
