This is an Omnipod accessory that I feel everyone should have. The white guard fit my Omnipod 5 perfectly. I placed the Omnipod into the guard before applying it to my body as instructed. It helped me attach the pod without touching and messing up the pods adhesive. The included over patch (2) included is lightweight and sticks well. Patch did not irritate my skin and came off easily. I prefer the look of the decorative printed ones better. I had generic overpatches that I bought at Amazon for as little as 40¢ each in packages of 25. I did see some of the lightweight white ones on Amazon for 17¢ each. They both fit the same. If you have bumped or dragged clothes over your Omnipod and dislodged the cannula as I have you will appreciate this guard. I wish I had seen it long ago.

I love this bump guard for my omnipod, I put it on the pod before taking the white paper off the adhesive on the pod itself, and have had no issues with it!

I was diagnosed with T1D at the ripe age of 46. After some time on MDI I chose to go on a pump. The only pump I considered was the Omnipod, because I didn't want a tube. I'm a runner, and also clumsy (lol) and had started having so many issues with leaking pods, especially on my thighs, that I was about to give up on them. Lo and behold, enter this little miracle. An overpatch alone didn't solve my issues, but this has virtually made my leaky pods a thing of the past. In fairness, I'd rather give 4.5 stars but that's not an option. The reason for the slight ding is that for me, the "feet" need to be the teeniest bit longer. Sometimes, depending on placement area, they tend to slip out from under the patch. I usually only note this on my stomach, though. The other issue is the white plastic will discolor as it picks up dyes from clothing. However, I recently ordered direct from the company and multiple colors are available and the feet on the new ones are slightly different. They do tend to wear/stretch after a while (I ordered my first one about 3 months ago) so I think rotation and replacement are necessary. Highly recommend these and as a bonus, you are supporting a small business.

I like the quality of this, it’s comfortable and holds the pod well, but biggest issue for me was that it is too large to use with simpatch adhesives. There isn’t enough room for the adhesive to hold onto the skin anymore unless you stretch it out by holding onto the patch (but then you cause the adhesive to be less sticky)
