Great flavor and texture. Consider using as a tasty alternative to grits or risotto as in shrimp and grits or shrimp risotto. Cracked hominy does take quite a while to prepare, but is well worth it. You will not be disappointed. Bon appetit.

Great product!
So, I was looking for something that I could get in favor of the little tins of hominy that take up space in my cupboard. I go through a lot of hominy in my house. I found this online and thought eh, we'll give it a whirl. NOT what I was expecting, BUT not horrible. I was HOPING for the same large or close to large(r) kernels when they got hydrated, but that didn't happen. They are basically the same size you see in the package, maybe slightly larger, but not much. But they aren't bad at all. Now, do they taste like the tins you get at the store? Not in the least. But neither does dried corn when you make it into soup, so, I probably should've taken that into account when I went into this. It is definitely it's own flavor, but it's a good flavor. It's definitely something you could buy and store for a rainy day....say....a global pandemic. It will do in a pinch. I will be going back and getting the larger bags of it for JUST such an occasion, because I firmly believe that this will not be our last zombie apocalypse, and if I learned ANYTHING from the last one, it's preparedness. Having non-perishable foods around is a good thing, and keeping something like this on hand for the next one would be prudent. It is something that WILL keep forever. Overall, I think I got my money's worth out of it. :)

Goya Continues to Excel!
Great product at a reasonable price. I've become very fond of the Goya product line, and so when it came time to find an alternative REAL hominy product, NOT confused with the common "instant" type sold at the local grocery, I opted for this. NOT disappointed, and very pleased with the quality. Will definitely recommend and buy again!

Producto de buena calidad pero muy costoso para la cantidad. Si tienes oportunidad de comprarlo en tiendas latinas no lo dudes, la cantidad y precio en estos mercados es grande. Si no puedes esta es una buena opción. Lamentablemente no se puede hacer devolución por ser un alimento.
