Kohler stands behind their products
This Kohler faucet replaced a 7-year old nearly identical faucet that began to fail. The touchless sensor began failing. I replaced the control valve under the sink but that did not work. So the failure was in the sensor in the faucet body which is not serviceable. But... Kohler stands behind their product. I had already contacted Kohler and talked to an actual real person at Kohler and after troubleshooting they told me they would buy me a new faucet. I could either order from them or another place and get refunded. Wow, that is standing behind your product. So I order from Amazon because the delivery was really fast and I had the new faucet replaced the next day. What a deal. We really like the touchless on/off feature. It works just with a quick swipe of your hands. Often your hands are wet and if you have to touch the handle it is just keeping that spot and your countertop wet. This is quick and effective. Yes it is expensive, but we use the faucet many times a day every day. The water can also be controlled with the handle on the base of the faucet. And there is an automatic feature that will shut the water off after a certain time if you have not already shut it off. I guess this may be to keep it running if kids turned it on, or your cat figured out how to get a drink. It does have a manual bypass if the power goes out. There is a white knob on the side of the control box you can turn. You might need some pliers. But you can turn this until a few turns and the manual handle will turn the water on/off. As long as Kholer stands behind their products like this, I will keep buying Kohler products and I will stand behind them. So hard to find companies that are this way. Maybe this is built into the price, but it seems you get what you pay for.

Shame on your Amazon for passing on a defective product to the customer
Bought the Simplice Touchless Faucet from Amazon. When it arrived I noticed that even though the parts were organized in the box, most of them were not in plastic bags like I have seen Kohler products shipped before. That was my first warning. Installed the faucet (actually a plumber had to come out and put a new valve on one of the water lines). The faucet works in manual mode, but not in touchless mode. When I went to the Amazon website, they pass me off to Kohler Customer Service. After troubleshooting through a couple of phone calls, they sent out a replacement circuit board, solenoid, and power supply. Reinstalled those items no change.. no touchless mode working. Called Kohler again, proceeded through the same process and wanted to ship me out another set of the same parts. Obviously it's not those parts, it's what going on the faucet head and the wiring... but Kohler is very responsive to replacing that. But even more upsetting is Amazon who no doubt received this faucet back from another customer.... who probably found it didn't work... and then reorganized the box and sent it on to me. So I have spend several hours on the phone and under the sink and the result is I have a faucet that looks great, but is the same as the non-touchless faucet for twice the price. Not upset with Kohler.. good Customer Service people. Shame on your Amazon for taking advantage of your customers, sending out faulty equipment as "new".

Works and looks great
While a bit pricey, the faucet works really well. We tied another brand with he hands-free function, but were annoyed the delay in the water turning on/off. This one works almost instantly. That may sound a little odd, but others seems to take JUST long enough that you aren't quite sure if the sensor detected your movement which becomes rather frustrating. Not the case here. It arrived in perfect shape, was easy to install, and works great.

Great Performance, Once the Plumber got Replacement Parts
We love the faucet and do not regret spending extra for the touchless feature. No more raw chicken hands contaminating the faucet surface. A quick wave between the stem and faucet head and you've got your flow. Another wave and it stops. Critical feature of Kohler that not all brands have, is the spray button will stay down. Others may not click into place and stay there, acting like an intermittent function you have to hold down. That is no good, and Kohler offers the spray feature as a click down, stay down button. Additionally, there is an intermittent button (hold down for operation) that is a power boost. Must be some restrictor that gets relieved to allow full water volume. The feature on the sprayer is remarkable, something about the power and the pattern really cuts through food crud. Styling is handsome and looks great on our sink. My only demerit here is that the installation totally flummoxed our contractor and his sub contracted plumber. It simply wouldn't function. They had Kohler customer service on the line, and after exhausting all guidance Kohler sent us replacement electronic parts. This was a big hassle, as we'd been without a kitchen for our remodel for a couple months, and were just about ready to have a sink again. We had to wait until the plumber could fit us in, so a couple weeks went by. Very frustrating this didn't work out of the box. Again, the plumber struggled with the new replacement parts, dismantled back to the beginning and started again. Somehow, this did the trick and we've enjoyed a functional sink the last couple months. I don't know why there was trouble, our contractor had great faith and experience with this plumber. At any rate, maybe this was a fluke.
