Do you have any tricks for making a ring sizer stay at the bottom of the ring and not slide from one side to the other?

No, but in spite of that happening for me it was still better than having the ring rotation around my finger. As I said in my review, I dropped down a size from what I thought was right. Very tight going on, but once I got it on it worked well. One option might be some sort of adhesive, but didn't want to go that route on a gold ring.

Does this stick on with tape?

If you can’t find a size that snaps on your ring you can use the tape which is like a flexible, malleable Gorilla tape and it works well. Mine has stayed on for nearly 3 weeks even through showers and washing my hands a dozen times a day. The adjuster would not stay on without the tape. It would just roll off the ring whenever I tried to put it on my finger.

This ring sizer does not work right.

This seems to be more of a statement than a question... I have found they slide around the bottom of the ring and up the side, but other than that I have found they work fine. They have sized my ring down a 1/2 size and the second from the smallest one fit the band perfectly. Is the issue that they don't have one that fits your band? Or do you need more than a half size ( they only down size a half size)?

Does it make the ring a full size smaller?

Probably 1/2 size. BUT.... mine fell off within 3 days...so.... I did not use the adhesive tape they supply, though. They are cheap, so...you might try it. I can’t say as I’m happy though.
